I really like how you had the space to put the beastiary smack dab on the first page. The art is excellent, the embrace one gives me chills.
thank you! :)
This is a fantastic adventure and micro-setting! Here are a few key points of feedback I found.
1. The Voidweaver Class and the Shadow Blade. It sounds like you perpetually add damage capability to your weapon. I think you may want to clarify this.
2. I always want to see the overall map somewhere. I understand that space is limited for the Jam, but getting an overview of the location would be nice.
Overall, it would take a little extra time to prepare this adventure for the table, but there is a ton of valuable and excellent content here that would be fun to run!
Thank you for taking the time! 1. Indeed I will update with, on your next attack, or once per turn. Thanks for finding that! 2. Agreed, I tried to jampack a lot of stuff into this 8-pager and in the end I feel a lot of it was lore, even the class (which is almost unusable in this circumstance but showcases the way a certain type of people think the shadows are theirs to own). Thanks again :)
The embrace mechanic is really neat. I love how it when it progresses it provides a benefit and then the player will just accept it. Interesting how it would be in play, the -1 to all rolls seems pretty punishing and could be a slippery slope. The art, layout, iconography are all top notch! Very cool, super weird and evocative.
Thank you so much! and congrats on your project!
I think once you get to 5+ embrace tokens it's really up to the other players to free you somehow as you get increasingly low chances of getting out of it, but yeah it might be a bit too much :) I'm always kind of scared of putting rules like -1 for every 2 or doing a table. Thanks for your comments!
Love the embrace token mechanic !
Fantatic layout too !

Great work! This is at least top 3 for me. Emphasizing the importance of light even more with the tentacles fits Shadowdark very well and its probably my favorite part about this dungeon. The dungeon key also seems very practical to me.
thank you so much for reading!
This guys Shadowdarks! Beautiful work.
thanks for reading :)
