I just wish the player death state would have better feedback, currently jsut some text pops up.

Core game loop is well made. Really like it. Particles, sounds and camera shake are perfect.
Although you should make it more challenging. Make it harder to avoid "die condition".

You've came up with the idea that gives you a lot of control. The game is worth to work on more! You could add more dynamic background, and add more shooting improvements like shooting through walls, auto-aim, all directions shooting etc. I like your particles!

Very nice! It feels nice and complete with a great explanation and tutorial. A+

I love the mechanic of getting stronger when you have less health, it means you have a way out of getting backed into a corner. I didn't get too far into the game, but I can easily see inclusion of some boss fights, more jumping obstacles etc.

Also, I found it best to stay on the ground and not jump at all. So if you want the player to have to jump or at least make use of it, perhaps make some obstacles that you have to get over to get on the other side of, with some reason to expose themselves by jumping.

Wow, the game is insane fun and feels good to play. The only thing I would adjust is the difficulty curve. It already got extremely hard at 8000 points.

First of all, great job making this in the timespan of the jam. Neat core bug mechanic idea but, it never seemed to bug out properly for me haha, I always died/couldn't figure out in the short time I had to play to get health negative. Enemy bullets are super slow so it's not too challenging - I was trying to get hit to test the bug but barely could haha! Nice sound feedback, would love to see more visual feedback if you keep working on this or for future jams!

This was a pretty fun game and the game feel was top notch, It would had been nice to have seen the UI represented more visually but otherwise, great job! the sound effects were pretty nice as well.

The last round or two became a laggy mess, you could've made a projectile count limit or when they became too many like an arc it can be 1 object instead of hundreds. Great sounds though, super satisfying.

See I considered that (and maybe I'll implement it in a 'bugged' gamemode at some point) but I kinda wanted the bug in this game to feel like an actual bug. So like, something stupid that the dev could've actually let slip through. And if it were a real bug, a cap on your bullets would never have been an issue :p

If it helps though, I did massive reduce the increase in bullets you get. Currently your #bullets is 10 -3*health, it used to be something along the lines of e^(-health). Which would've had you at firing more bullets than there are particles in the universe.

Making them into an arc at some point would probably be a good shout ;D

Somehow i couldn't jump high enough to get on the first platform.

nontheless funny game, but got at some point really laggy ^^

The plat form immediately next to you you shouldn't be able to reach, but there are two or three to further to the right that you can.

If you can't reach those, then you've found an unintentional bug somewhere :p

It's not the first time that some physics in an unity webgl build are not working correctly on my gaming pc. however on my laptop i could jump much higher. maybe you could contact https://itch.io/profile/snapplers . I had a simmilar problem with his game https://itch.io/jam/wowie-jam-2/rate/552266 but he said, that he may found the issue. could be the same reason?

The way I implemented jumping uhm, has a lot to be desired. I had to do botch it because it was being inconsistent, so I'm guessing the difference came from there.

If there's one thing I've learnt from this, it's that I need to change how I do jumping, thanks for flagging it to me!
