Nice game, Wow those enemies were fast!
Nice game! It would be better if the tutorial explained the mechanic of enemies slowing down. There could also be a scoring system.
Yeah I had planned for the tutorial to include that...but clearly didnt plan well lol I've got no idea why I didnt just take the 5 mins it would have took to put in a score?! Guess I was that tired haha thank you for your feedback!
Awesome! Love the fast enemies and fast paced gaemplay - I think our games have a similar philosophy behind their difficulty/skill based gameplay. I like it.
Glad you liked it! Thanks for having a look
Haha very intense from the start. You really gotta keep your robot running around in a large circle while shooting. As other have said tone it down in the beginning. Perhaps lower enemy speed and as time goes by they get faster. It was fun~ Please check out my game, it is also a top-down shooter.
Thanks for having a look! I'll try yours out
Oh so hard! ;-) those red things !!! ahhhh ^^ and I want to brake this boxes ^^ but I guess they are part of the level design
Yes they are part of the level design, It would be a lot harder without them lol Thanks for checking it out
A good little shooter. FX and music are well done, and graphics are good too. The main mechanic is well implemented, and I didn't feel like it was hard to control the robot. As other comments stated, slower enemies would have been better at the beginning...but still, very good game well done !
Glad you had no trouble with the controls. Thanks for taking a look, I appreciate the feedback!
Nice job!
Little bit hard to play at the beginning, maybe the enemies should be slower...
Thanks for having a look, and yeah I think many people would agree with you on that. Cheers for the feedback
Very hard at the beginning but a fun game to play. Original mechanic and theme was well interpreted. Good job!
Thanks for trying it out, glad you stuck with it.
It is very fun to play! But you should make it easier at the start! When you get used to it, it is very fun to dodge but it is a little overwhelming for the new players.
Yeah that seems to be the consensus. Thanks for trying it out and I appreciate the feedback
Good job accomplishing this game! I tryied my best to kill as many as I can bug when two bouncing bots came couldnt keep up any more :)
thank you for checking it out
Nice game and I like how you handled the theme. Balancing the ammount of enemies on screen and their speed was a clever idea. Sound and graphics are nice too. The player felt nice to control.
What I think could be added is a scoring system. I would have liked to see how many kills I had after I died.
I noticed the shots didn't go excactly where my mouse was aimed (they went a little more to the right). Could be an unintentional bug or maybe something on my part?
Overall nice game :)
Thank you for checking it out.I agree, adding that would've been relatively little work and would improve the experience quite a bit. Next time! It's not on your end I noticed the targeting too but not all the time, not entirely sure where I went wrong with it but I might jump back in to learn something...it was a lot more noticeable when I had a crosshair in there...simple fix(or so I thought)...remove the crosshair! Thanks for your feedback
Funny and challenging!
Thanks for having a look
The enemies are so fast. You should indicate where they are coming from
That's a good idea. Thanks!
That was a hard game! Those enemies coming at me certainly made my heart rate jump. I liked the tutorial and the cute writing in the beginning. Good work!
Well I'm glad somebody liked the tutorial because I was feeling like it was one of the places I wasted time on. I had actually wanted it to spawn targets and explain the slowing down of enemies too but ran out of time. And perhaps its a lot harder than I thought lol. Thank you for your feedback
i was able to walk off screen, not sure if that was an intentional bug or not. character’s animation didn’t account for the direction he was moving (but everything was crazy fast…)
art looks good, music was a bit loud.
ran into some collision issues with walls/etc. probably need to check your physics material on some things so that the player slides on object instead of sticking.
No walking off-screen wasn't intentional. I had an issue with the cinemachine vCam not matching up to the normal camera view. Funny you mention physics material, I suggested that in my feedback to someone else. Thank you for having a look and the feedback, appreciate it
I really liked the shooting effects and I thought your interpretation of the theme was really creative! The game felt too fast at the start, which isn't a bad thing, I just think there should have been some more cover to make it easier but more strategic: it might have helped if the map was bigger (that's just personal preference though!) Overall, this is a really good jam entry!
Thank you for having a look. Yeah I had wanted to have more levels, which would've been different cover layouts. Appreciate the feedback
I knew it, I LOVE the bug. It may set in a bit fast at times but it works well.
Also, an enemy managed to go head first into the tree and got stuck, which made things easier for me :)
One thing that is a bit annoying though is that I had enemies spawn on top of me, but overall I liked it :)
Thanks for making a webgl build :)
Yeah I just put the spawn points in the corners of the screen and hoped lol With more time I think I'd do better. Thanks for coming back to check it out and for the feedback
maybe instead of just hoping you could mark the locations (Assuming they are fixed) That way the player at least knows what to avoid and I don't think it would have taken that long to add.
Anyway, it is a fun game nonetheless, so great job
didn't think of that! good idea
I think its an interesting game. I think the idea is pretty good and it definitely doesn't feel bad besides a couple of things. I think it needs tutorial music and a score counter. Other than that its just a pretty good mech game.
A score counter would've been good. I had initially wanted to have a timer and change levels when it ran all the way down...but time. Thanks for the feedback
I wanted to try it but I don't have access to a windows PC :(
The bug seems interesting (If I remember correctly the original space invaders had the same problem) and I like the art style (Assuming the image is from the game)
Anyway, good luck.
Thanks for trying to check it out. I've uploaded a WebGL build now,. I tried yesterday, but it had the text cut out. Trying today I realise I just missed the embed options in the rush to upload and sleep. Should work in the browser now if you get a chance, and yeah I got the idea from Space invaders. wish I had more time to see it through
