Cute little fun game.

I didn't get the portals but fine :D

Developer

They just magical portals to the next level. will maybe make stair sprites after voting hehe

You really did a good job there! Your game page is accurate and informative like it should! The sounds are REALLY funny! Good job on your procedural thing! It worked well and I know that is hard to "test". Keep adding a bit!

Thanks for checking it out!

no problem!

Interesting demo - it could became a real game with a little work!

Very fun and simple game, music and sound as well very nice. One thing that does bother me is the bug spell, there is very little interaction afterwords other than stomping and i feel that can be expanded upon with different creatures or effects being added,it certainly has potential ! Great job!

Developer

Thanks for playing!  I will add a lot more after the jam~  i spent most the jam time making the procedural levels work haha, so everything is quite simple now.

pew pew pew
I really like that sound.

Thank pew~!

Good game art and sounds amazing but I would appreciate it more if theme wasn't implemented only in graphic, but overall it was fun to play

Developer

Thanks for playing~  I found my biggest motivation in the jam was trying to get random level generation to work~  so I just took the theme as a magic spell that 'intentionally turns enemies into bugs" was my first idea and rolled with it.  Jonas said the theme was flexible~

Submitted

Yeah of course it fit the theme and game is good but like I said it would be cooler and more interesting.

What about boss fight before entering the "teleport"? :)

Developer

Great Idea!  I will try and make a boss room each level.

Great game!

I would recommend adding player feedback, and an invincible frame timer, but other than that this is a well made game!

Keep up the great work!

Developer

Thanks for playing!  I put in an invincible timer of 1 second~  But i think it doesn't work correctly haha.  I'll fix it in next update

The problems I had with the game were that there was no damage feedback and death sound. Also the spell sound effect got annoying quickly. Finally some enemies would damage me the second I entered a room I recommend to add a period of time where they can't shoot when you enter the room.

Developer

Thanks I'll add them to my to do list for after the voting.

Very fun! Maybe just a little bit more feedback/feel elements but it was well done where used! Great idea, great accomplishment, love the graphical consistency, and yeah, it's great!

Developer(+1)

Thanks!  I'll improve the game after voting time :D

nice game cute graphics fun machanics

Nice game! I love top-down action games. That's how I learned Unity - I made a top-down action/shooter game but 1 level with 10 waves and a boss (the game is on my account). Good job if you created the procedural generation with no help and made a game to implement it for only 3 days! Kudos

Developer

Thanks for playing!  I learned top-down first too!  I learned the procedural from some tutorials and youtube haha during the jam time.  (My coding skills are so-so, but I can stitch code together)

Great Game (: I love this type of games!

Developer

Thanks for playing!  I will try your game soon too~

Ah yes reminded me of a zelda-like dungeon meets Super Smash TV; really adorable graphics and sounds - 5 stars!  Pretty awesome to have all that done so quickly!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I will play yours soon~

Nice game. I had a lot of fun. It would be good if you explained where to go when all the enemies in the level are defeated.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks!  I will fix the map and more after the voting time~

Submitted(+1)

Sweet experience I had with your game! One thing you could add: freeze the game until the transition to the next map tile is finished (like it does in good old Zelda games), otherwise the player will be hit by enemies before he can even see them.

Overall a pretty neat game!

Developer(+1)

Oh thanks for the great idea!  I should be able to do that cuz I froze time with the pause menu :D

Submitted(+1)

Pretty fun game. Would be nice if I had a second before the enemies shoot me when I enter a new room.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I will try to freeze time when the camera moves when I update

Nice game, though you went for a genre which is hard to execute in such a short time. Overall managed to do it pretty well, has nice sounds, I didn't see a single unintentional bug. Well done!

However, there are a few things I miss. A minimap would be great, since it would incite exploring. The other thing is - as for now - there is not really a reward for visiting more rooms, so you just wanna find the exit.

Had fun playing it, nice job! :)

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for playing, I will try fix minimap and like chest rooms/shops soon~

First roguelike I saw in this jam, bold move. Cool game, well done.

Submitted (1 edit) (+2)

I've found another roguelike before this, and it's quite different. If you are interested, it is called "Zoo escape - Paper adventures".

I'm not sure if this comment is alright to post here, so please, dev,  just delete it if it isn't.

Oh cool, I'll check it out.
