Music Source
I made all of the music for the game. It's an original soundtrack made specifically for it.

Oooh, I like how you did the theme here, how you make progress by using ingredients you don't know in a failed drink in order to learn what they are. Very chill game!
Thanks!
Very cool idea. Discovering ingredients by testing them. I like that. Also, the manager looks awesome. Btw what was the intro was it an alien coming to earth?
Thanks! The intro was meant to be the player lol, crash landing onto an alien planet. The simple backstory's on the game's page if you wanna read it lol.
Oh. my. gosh. This is my new favorite game of the jam. When the theme was revealed, I had thought about learning from your mistakes, and this game takes that idea, and does it FREAKING GREAT! I love the art, it's foreign, but not in a way that makes me feel uncomfortable. The entire feel of this game is alien, there are things that you understand, but having no idea what the ingredients are, it's all so great. The gameplay is great, there's moments of "OH That's what that ingredient is." and "Oh hecc what's the name of this one" and it all feels so amazing. I can't quite put into words what makes it so great, what makes it so interesting to learn everything and to actually play the game, but it does, it feels amazing. The music and sound effects are also amazing, they just add to the absolute atmosphere of the game that gives it such a unique feeling!
The few things I'd recommend is that the opening sequence was a little clearer, but i understood it after a moment, so it's basically a microscopic problem. The other thing is just something that would make it better, would be a hard mode, where the dude doesn't show up as often and the names are never revealed.
Overall, this is probably my favorite game. It drives the nail of the theme and it's own atmosphere in one blow, it's gameplay is unique and manages to hit the flow between stressful and calm, the art feels alien, the music adds so much to the atmosphere, and just amazing all around. Freakin' Amazing Game!!!
Aww thank you so much!!
I've had someone ask for something similar with the hard mode, but my problem with that is that the names of the ingredients are also meant so serve as a help for you to remember them, since very rarely, you could get two ingredients that look nearly identical. I dunno, if I do expand on the game i might make something like that and make sure all ingredients are always visually obviously different. But my idea was that I'd just keep expanding on what I have now - maybe add spices, perhaps something completely new like an ice cream machine, customers asking for 2 different flavors, and so on.
Thanks for trying it out!
ps - i drew and put together the opening sequence as one of the very last things and was really running low on time at that point, but considering that it still turned out better than i hoped :p
Fun game! It took me a while to figure out 1 of the persons gives you hints about the ingredients.
After this, I actually had an idea of what I was doing instead of just throwing random ingredients in.
I could not find a main menu when I finished and wanted to exit the game, but I understand your focus was more on making this nice game work than on making an exit button in the limited time you had ;)
The first time I played some part of the explanation was hidden below the UI. Later I did not notice this anymore.
I really liked the art and music you made for this game!
Really well done!
Thank you! Yeah haha, I mentioned on the game's page that I kinda forgot to add an exit button. I don't understand what's up with the UI. Something similar has happened before with a game. Thanks a lot!
Fun game, I made 16300, hope that's not a bad score :D Sometimes I just didn't want to wait for the correct ingredients to spawn. I like the music and sfx as well. First, the game started it was unresponsive and I had to reset. Overall it was a fun idea, good job!
That's a pretty good score lol, I think I usually got around 16k or so. Yeah it seems that very rarely for some people the game just doesn't work at first, I'll have to look into that. It never happened to me. Thanks a lot!
I have no idea of what i'm doing... Not sure if it's a bad thing or not... :/
:dd hopefully not a bad thing, I think if I were to expand on this i'd embrace it :p
Very nice game, ingredient naming is hilarious, loving it!
Thanks a lot!
Very funny game, the graphics are pretyt good too, the music is kinda repetitive.
Thanks, yeah I'm not the best at making long songs lol, I thought it'd be a little repetitive but oh well.
I liked the general idea and the art. Cool game!
Thankss!<3
Very original idea and very fun!
Thank you!
Very long intro ^^ But fun to play, wowie worth
Thank uu! <3
I like the art :)
Thank u! <3
nice game ,,
I liked the music ..
At first I did not understand the idea ,,
Notes :
The UI covered a large portion of the screen.
good job ,,
with all respect
Thanks! Yeah the UI was a bit last minute so I might have made it a bit too big :d
Cool game! I feel like just making the shakes is really fun. I don't know exactly what I'm making but I think might be the point. I also don't really get how this fits the theme.
Thanks! The idea was that you don't know what you're giving them at first, so you have to find out what ingredients you should use with trial and error, and the customers will usually be unhappy with what you try out, which is the failure, but then you learn what to give them, progress :d
