Maze is a tad annoying to have to go through every time, but its a fun concept.
Maze was originally gonna be less annoying because only one ingredient would be held in it, but I had to cut the three other areas for time.
Simple and challenging, But a little hard
Nice work!!
Simple concept, nice music of course, but it takes a little bit too long to find ingredients (maybe because I am bad at mazes)
A bit hard but nice
Very nice! I love the player character (I think he's a frog with wheels). I also love the name A-Eye. I do wish that the gameplay was a little more than walking through a maze though. Most of the time I was just wandering around aimlessly. The AI could have also served more purpose. Since he is an eye, maybe he could "see" where the ingredients are and give you hints. Great submission!
PS: I'm very glad someone else chose this superior control scheme B)
How to make cake:
To be honest, this game is very difficult. You need to memorize the entire maze to complete the collection of ingredients. My suggestion is that you can gradually expand from a small area at the beginning and let the player play after the player is completely familiar with the current maze. New otherwise there is no sense of achievement during the game
Hope you can vote my game too
Not going to lie, I got bored with the maze pretty quickly, BUT, the music was fun and kept me engaged long enough to bake the cake. Difficulty curve feels backwards, first item is hardest since I don’t know the maze at all, last item is easiest. I dig the weirdness of a frog on wheels.
You're the first person to point out that difficulty curve, and I think I could flip it around to work the right direction if the maze gets a little bigger and changes after every item.
Thanks for the feedback!
That’s exactly what I was thinking actually! Though then you may not be able to randomize the item order as easily, but there’s definitely a solution!
Challenging but fun little game! I think a mini-map, or maybe some enemies in the maze could make the game a little less tedious, but nevertheless, cool game :D
funny idea! but the maze is way too big for having no indicator for orientation, maybe add a minimap or like a pointer, that shows you the direction of the ingredient you're looking for
I don't like mazes :(
Hey that's okay, the maze originally was gonna contain only one ingredient with three elsewhere but I had to change that for time.
I really enjoyed the music in this game you definitely were creative with the a-eye idea very cool. I felt myself slowly learn the maze but got lost and cornered a lot. I think it would've been a little better if I could pick up every ingredient I came to instead of going back and forth. Overall though very creative and sounds great good job!

Very simple and classic idea, the maze could be simpler, or maybe a mini map, or it'll get tedious very fast.
Cool game. I mazed a lot inside that magical maze.
I can see your idea for the game and its potential. But the execution could have some improvements. Like adding a mini-map for exapmle or changing the maze for each item ...etc
And full respect for finishing the game in/under 3 days.
Hey I'll keep that minimap idea in mind for the sequel. And about the different maze for each item, the map was originally going to have three more sectors and only have one ingredient in the maze and three elsewhere, but that was changed for time.
I would really recommend making it simpler/quicker in the beginning. Maybe a tutorial level where everything is close to each other. Other than that it was enjoyable ;)
Hey that's a good suggestion. I'm planning to make a sequel to this game that is the whole concept of what I wanted in this that I had to cut for time, I'll keep that idea in mind for that.
got stuck in the maze for longer than I'd like to admit :(
Hey don't worry, I placed everything in the maze and I get stuck nearly constantly lol. I eventually learned my way around in testing.
That's funny! You had the opposite idea of what we made: In your game the A-eye is cooking, and you have to find the ingredient. In our game, you are cooking, and the AI has find the ingredients :-P
I also have one, if I may: I was searching and searching, asking myself "Where is it?!" - I think, I was in a Where-House...
Ouch that pun emotionally hurt me.
I'm sorry :-D
Wheelfrog
I think a really cool and good looking concept.... apart from the maze. I think almost anything else would've been better in my opinion- even just an easier maze lol!
However- wheelfrog is a very funny character and I like the play on words with the A-eye, so good job!
The maze for sure could do with some adjustment. At the time I wasn't quite sure if I wanted to make a new one, now I'm absolutely sure I do but it's too late lol.
I don't really see how this has to do with the theme besides for the name. The game itself is very simple and easy to understand however I didn't really feel hooked to it.
Pretty cool, normally I hate mazes but weirdly I didn't hate this one. Well done.
