Very good game! The mechanics are complex and hard to get into the game easily, but underneath there is a pretty complex and well thought farming game system. The presentation is simple and clear for the game jam. The game could take advantage with some tutorial, but I bet time was running out, so beside of this it's a very nice game!

i see why people are confused because it is a bit tricky to figure out the mechanics (even with the description in your comment) which is a bummer because i think you have a really cute little casual farming game going on. i really enjoyed the farming animations, the flowers growing in particular look great and i can tell you put a lot of love into them. I'm a big fan of the overall art and vibe of the game and i think a simple soft beachy kind of song would have added a lot of ambiance. maybe the occasional seagull bark or wave crashing sound. one improvement i would suggest is to add click and drag controls when farming because clicking every little square every time got old quick and was a decent wrist strain over time. overall i enjoyed this game and think you have a good platform to build a larger project if you were interested, with lots of potential rpg/story elements with the "ethereally-bound" and "currency based on laughter and tears" portion of your prompt. Great work!!

edit: i like the brambles and flowers dual currency application of your theme too just picked up on that :)

i liked the simpleness of this gardening game, it was honestly nice to just chill out and carry out the simple tasks. i do wish there was more complexity with the dual-currencies, but with the limited time of a game jam it's understandable not to have that. neat project!

Click on Green to plow, click on brown to plant, Wait till full grown, click on plant to harvest, Click on bottom left of graves to use upgrades, When graves are fully upgraded click on bottom left of large stones to pick them up(one at a time) Click on bottom left of grave to put the stone down.

Click on Buttons along the top to change active state. The Faces show what state you have active.

i really think this game can be good but not much is explained and too hard to understand even with the instructions

I did not manage to understand how the game should be played even with the instructions 😔

Nice game but kind of confusing

Honestly I agree. It felt like a fever dream trying to code it without leaving any bugs in it.
