Art style is so nice to look at. Puzzles were a lot of fun! I spent a good amount of time trying to solve a couple of them.

Punching and moving around as fast as possible was really satisfying. Also really liked the physics of pushing stuff around.

Very nice base game. I think some variation in where stuff spawned in random places would be fun.

yeah man messed up

Liked this idea. Cool seeing all the different obstacles you came up with.

Really lovely art style and sound design. You utilized both very effectively. Gameplay was engaging, though the player does feel a touch slow and sometimes I felt like my villagers wouldn't do what I wanted them to. Lot of fun!

Pretty solid horror game. There's some jank with pressing E and doing something unexpected, but otherwise very spooky. I was very tense the whole time.

The upgrades were all really interesting, great choice to have them affect multiple stats positively and negatively. It made it feel like I could go for specific "builds" if I wanted to.

It's cool that even though you compared this to Tetris, you have to think very differently than when you're playing Tetris. A very unique game.

The sound work is really well done to create a creepy feeling. The pixel look of the game is nice as well.

I enjoyed how much I had to pay attention to the timer I set up myself to be successful in this game. Enemies designs were very good too.

I wasn't able to find the phone, not sure if I missed it or something. I liked the voice acting!

I'm not sure why you decided to use AI art for this. I think any hand drawn image would have worked better than the incoherent collage you had in the introduction.

I like the Resident Evil style inventory system. I think the progression could have been sped up significantly, however.

Some great writing. I think the text could have been sped up significantly or a complete current dialogue feature could have been added, but a nice experience overall.

Nailed the atmosphere with this one. Love how the message of the game was weaved into the gameplay itself.

Ragdoll physics were a lot of fun to mess around with. Especially had fun with with basketball trampolines.

ALL BALLOONS SAVED LET'S GOOOOOO

And that's the last stream! Will comment and rate all the games I played today. I had a great week! Maybe I'll see some of you again in another jam.

Going live! Today's the last day I'll be streaming games so I won't be accepting any more games here, but you're welcome to request a game in my chat.

Gorgeous art. Love the presentation of it all.

Didn't quite click with me, I couldn't figure out how momentum worked as it seemed quite inconsistent at times. However, it was very exciting whenever I started moving quickly with the wind.

This is a great fit for the theme. Loved the lose screen.

Cool setting, nice job with the personalities of the characters.

There's a lot of very cool ideas here. I like both phases on paper, but it did feel like there was a lot of baiting in the resource/ally gathering phase where if you didn't go for a specific ally you would have no chance in the battling phase. The battling phase was also very neat and just needed to be a little more fleshed out. It's impressive that you came up with so many units with unique moves, but there aren't many ways allies meaningfully interact with each other or anything that wasn't right across from them for that matter so it fell a little flat for me. There's something great here though!

Really like the hex layout you went with for this! The setting and the tiles you came up with to match were super fun to build with. I did feel like it's a bit too easy to get established and then the fun kind of dies down a little after that, but I had fun for quite a while!

The art and animation are fantastic. Gameplay wise, I never felt like the tornadoes were any more than a mild annoyance, perhaps a timer or health or even just showing the time taken at the end would incentivize the player to try harder to avoid them.

After a few upgrades, the ship's movement and shooting both feel really nice. I would have appreciated a bit of clarity on what the various bars meant early on.

Very cool visual novel! Lots of unexpected endings, a lot of thought went into this.

Pretty similar to games like Slay the Spire, but I think you did a great job inventing new ideas to fit the slot machine style of play instead.

Loved how you integrated an aim trainer as part of the game's story. It was a lot of fun.

I really like how you used the art assets in a billboard style. I would have appreciated a lot more audio/visual feedback across the whole game, especially in the surviving portion, which is the bulk of the game, but doesn't have a lot going on.

I like how the game gets brighter and brighter the closer you get to the surface. A fantastic platformer, well done.

Really enjoyed this one. Had a lot to say about your game on stream, but one thing I don't think I mentioned was that I thought the design of the map complimented the towers and what they did really well, felt like there was an optimal tower for each position with a bit a room for personal preference.

(1 edit)

I actually did envision this as a one-solution puzzle type game more than a sandbox so that feeling is very much intentional. I was worried that the solutions would be a little difficult to arrive at so this is still valuable feedback. Thanks for playing!

Definitely one of my biggest issues with the game is the text dump at the beginning. There's definitely a better way to go about that and get the player actually playing faster. Thanks for playing!

Ah yeah, I thought I fixed that like three times but it always came back. Sorry you ran into that problem!

Got through some more games, will start commenting and rating now. I've still got a few more left, I'll get through them tomorrow. Just a heads up, tomorrow is also the last day I will be streaming Brackey jam games.

I did consider adding indicators for where hazards were going to show up, but I kind of liked making the player remember where everything goes as a little extra layer of difficulty so I scrapped that. The sequence does get long, I'll give you that. I do like the idea of showing where you lost balloons last time, though.

As for similar solutions, that was mostly intended. I built the storm around what I wanted the player to do and how I thought the player might respond, so it was very deliberate. It is a puzzle game after all. Having said that, I've enjoyed seeing a lot of different solutions from people and I think it's really cool and exciting that people have found alternate ways to win the game.

Thanks for playing!
