I got 3 chests, am i a successful pirate now?
I don't know if the storm is a timer or something or it just makes it more difficult to see islands.
I really liked the art style, some music or sound is missing to fit the atmosphere.
Gameplay was solid, but i sometimes had the feeling attack speeds were a bit random, sometimes projectiles flew very fast so i couldnt dodge, sometime they traveled really slow and were easy to dodge. At least that was my feeling, but maybe its just my imagination.
The game is pretty unique. Every change in the maze costs you points, so the best tactic is just to press reset until you have a maze that already connects each tile.
I really like the idea, but the game is too random for my taste, you dont really improve your skills to get a lower score, it feels a bit too random.
Thank you for playing and the constructive feedback :)
I will definitely fix the camera in future versions, sometimes the code determining the direction bugs out and switches the cameras around resulting in the issue you are having.
Also the bugging in wall mostly happens in the web build, Godot Physics seem to be a bit worse in Web Builds. You can still get locked in the wall sometimes, but that's also something we want to improve. We left it in as we found it funny to get your friend trapped. Of cause getting fully stuck was always a bug. We will probably teleport the detective out of the wall when the door will leave, probably same direction to make it control more solid.
Also the stealth mechanics will be improved, probably we'll do some parts in the map with pizzles and some with trying to get around enemies. With checkpoints in between. We just haven't had enough time to build a lot of puzzles and to make the game a bit more difficult we added enemies as they fit the story.
Thanks again for all the feedback!
This game is awesome. We havent reached the end yet but we will keep going.
It so much fun playing through the levels. Music is also nice.
A nice addition would be to have the ability to select a formation for your team. I want to have my tank in the front :D
Other than that, its an awesome game and i will continue to play it now ^^
For others with the windows defender or alert message, thats pretty normal for unsigned godot games, doesnt mean its a necessarily virus :)
Also:
I hate math 10/0... wait... that seems wrong
Nice concept and pretty unique, reminds me how embarrassing my calculator history is.
One problem was the rounding at the doors, i was in a room with all three doors having 1 as a answer. Also i had 144/66 and no door had the right answer or it was rounded. But other than that very fun concept, hopefully my teacher wont use it as the next math test :D
Atmosphere of the game is nice. Its missing a bit of hints where to find the stuff, i ran around for 15 minutes to get all 3 things to the other animals, the map is a bit to big or the cat just needs a sprint button, maybe that could result in slower rotation or something.
Other than that i really liked the game, was pretty chill to play
Game matches the theme great, you don't know where the door leads you until you go through it, you need to memorize the orders you tried to figure out the last one.
I got confused in between as i thought i went through all doors but i missed one.
Camera is a bit buggy sometimes, but other than that works pretty good.
Simple graphics, easy to understand, just maybe a bit too much boxes sometimes.
Other than that, light mechanic works pretty good and allows for a mostly good feeling combat against the monsters. You can hide behind the corner like a coward and kill them by slowly getting closer. They are like the opposite of weeping angles, took me a minute to notice, but works great.
Not gonna lie, i struggled at the first puzzle for way too long ^^
Very nice puzzles but i found myself stuck after starting the fire and having 5 of those purple pieces. Looked around multiple times but had to restart twice because of the gray screen.
Really liked the atmosphere and mechanic with the flashlight. There are a lot of batteries hidden around the place so i probably got stuck early in the game.
Very nice platformer, controls are solid, only one time i accidentally slid of the platform right into a ghost.
Flashlight effect is very nice, i already liked it in the main menu.
After i picked up the flashlight the first time and changed the level i thought the game bugged and i lost my flashlight. But having to pick it up in every level makes the game more dynamic and allows to have two stages each time.
First Stage: Oh no a ghost
Second Stage: Come here! ill catch you!
Can't gumba stomp the ghosts tho
I really like the art style and the atmosphere it creates.
The game was easy to understand and you immediately knew what to do. First i was a bit confused when i returned to a room i was already in, but I was able to figure it out what the goal of the game is.
The light effect was very nice, and gave the game a unique style.
Also nostalgia hits hard for point and click, love it!
The game looks very nice and i like the art style. Sadly there was no tutorial or keybindings. So I had to figure it out myself.
WASD - Walking
Mouse - Looking
CTRL - Make cursor free and allow for interactions
After getting to the cauldron i was stuck, i got a flower and went to the tree house. I couldn't really figure out how to give the flower to the tree house to open its door. Maybe i missed something, if so i can give it another try.
So sadly all doors stayed closed for me :(
