How does your game fit the theme?
In this 2D platformer, each level contains a door guarded by 1-bit ghosts. You will need to find the key to the door in order to find out what lies beyond.
SPOILER- its probably the next level.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all the code myself, but used asset packs for most of the sprites and sound.

Really well executed game - controls and physics were on point. Music and SFX fit the vibe well. Great work!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Nice - it feels well polished. Good use of the asset packs to make something that still feels creative / custom.
Thank you :)
Good visual and sound! I really liked the overall ambiance of the game! I found two minor bug, if you click very fast, you can jump twice from the floor and after you collect a key, the sound continue to play if you gi to its position again. Great game overall
Thanks for the feedback and for letting me know about the bugs.
So first of all, the atmosphere is amazing. The soundtrack and SFX give the game a calm, but also intense vibe, which fits the game very well. I also like the minimalistic 8 Bit graphics. I really enojyed the game, great entry! ;)
Thanks so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it :)
At first glance, it has simple monochrome graphics, but the screen effects express a sense of unease that really drew my interest. The idea of repelling enemy characters with light is boldly expressed in monochrome, which I think is beautiful. As an action game, it’s solidly built and I really enjoyed it.
Thank you, I’m really glad you enjoyed it!
Very cute game. And the controls worked great. Nice gameplay. I did keep wishing spacebar could also jump though, otherwise, excellent.
And the flashlight mechanic was a fun way to scare off ghosts.
Nice work.

Thank you for the feedback :)
I very like game design, your idea is simply nice!
Thanks! Glad you liked it :)
Maybe it's just me and my lazy bum, but I think it has the coyote jump and that says to me some good game design, very cool!
Haha, it does indeed. Thanks for playing!
Very simple but well crafted game.
Thanks for playing :)
I really love the game, the 1-bit artstyle suits the game so much and the simple black and white artstyle look so cool
I'd aprechiate if you'd play and rate my game :)))
So glad you enjoyed! I will take a look :)
Clean game! Good job!
Thank you!
Enjoyed your game. Quite simple but it was really nice to play
So glad you enjoyed it!
I like the arrival of mechanics!
Nice game, in a week I found it cool!
Although I didn't personally submit a game, I did contribute by creating the music for my team's entry: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-11/rate/2531196
If you happen to have some free time and interest, feel free to check it out ^w^! Well done!
Thanks so much, I’m glad you enjoyed it!
I enjoyed the 1-bit style of this one. I also like the music and it compliments the haunted setting. It's calming yet still eerie. I liked the detail of platforms blocking the ray of light from the flashlight.
Like another user said, I agree the flashlight makes it too easy to avoid enemies. The flashlight having a battery that needs to be recharged is a good idea, or you could also introduce faster enemies or enemies/projectiles that are immune to the light.
A small bug I noticed. If you double tap the W key at the beginning of a jump, you'll do a double jump, which I don't think was intentional.
Overall, I enjoyed my time with this. Good job on this one!
Thanks for the feedback, and for letting me know about the bug :)
A simple but cute 1-bit game here. The aesthetic is quite charming, and the audio enhances the feel.
Some feedback I would give is give limits to the flashlight as it seems to too easy to keep enemies away, even with limited range. Perhaps, add a battery life that can be recharged when it's not in use? Also, for enemies, make the designs more distinguishable from each other as the chasing and fixed path enemies look almost the same.
Again, though it's a cute 1-bit game. Nice job.
Thanks for the feedback!
Very nice presentation. I like the art style a lot. The controls were clean and easy to pick up. Good work :)
BUG: When you pickup the key, I think you change the sprite, but don't destroy the key so when you walk over that spot, it triggers the key and door sounds.
Thank you for the feedback! Thanks for bringing that to my attention, I turn off the sprite when the key is picked up, but I forgot to turn off the collider. Luckily not a difficult fix :)
I love games that make use of light or flashlights. You could definitely expand on this game's flashlight mechanic for a full game.
Awesome! So glad you enjoyed it, I guess you’d be the perfect target audience for this one haha.
Good game, it took me a while to get used to the movements. The music fit very well.
I have ghosts in my game too, if you feel like, try it out
Thanks for playing! I’ll check out the ghosts in your game.
Nice game, I wish you'll keep this project going
You introduce new mechanics when the moment is right, and not everything on the first level, which I enjoyed
The ontly thing is that I would've put 'space' to jump, but I got soon used to using 'W'
Thanks for playing! I’ll be sure to add options to change the control scheme.
I like the game, but it seems like one of those games you would find on coolmathgames. Also, interesting idea with the "flashlight" to push away the ghosts. Overall a good game, nice job!
Thanks for the feedback. Not sure if the relation to coolmathgames is good or bad haha.
I would say a little bit of both lol. Definetly not a terrible thing though
