Thank you for playing our game and for your detailed review! We did want to make the game a little longer to explore the mechanics more and like you noted, there are some visual bugs and missing polish like the conveyor belts moving you automatically, we unfortunately ran out of time to smooth those rough edges. But I'm glad you enjoyed it and played it paying such close attention to all the details!
Nice concept, there's definitely strategy involved when choosing a path on top of the RNG. Maybe having multiple dice with different values or rolling the number before choosing the movement direction could give the player more control so it feels a little more fair. Oh, and the random character selection was a nice touch, made me laugh :P
I loved the concept and the art style! Really interesting take on the theme with the fortune reading, I can see how that could be expanded a lot with more cards. I also appreciate that you have some "coyote time" grace period to be able to jump after you leave the ground, although the jump itself felt a little floaty. And I think fighting objects was a little confusing instead of fighting enemies and I sometimes lost track of what I had to do or what I was immune to, so maybe adding a constant reminder of that to the HUD next to your life could help make it clearer, though I know a lot of these things come down to lack of time for implementing, especially for such a short jam.
Anyway, very nice entry, good job!
It's surprisingly fun rushing to do math operations that result in 69 (nice!) lol and I got a score of 10! I had an issue sometimes where if I kept moving when I reached the number that got the correct answer it would start the next round but wouldn't count that point on my score. Anyway, fun game, funny meme, nice job!
Wow, the concept is awesome and I'm really impressed with the execution of it for such a short jam, especially being done by a solo dev. A little difficult but fun, and there's even a great tutorial to get the hang of it! I won't give any obvious feedback like "you could have added X or Y" because this has more than anyone should expect from such a short jam, so I'll just say great job!
