Pretty fun to mess around with, I wish we got something similar to the glider earlier in game because it was actually really fun to maneuver around but I guess it’s a worthy reward :0 also yeah same as the other comments the lag made the game unplayable on edge after the first round so I had to switch to firefox to play it. Other than that, pretty nice !

Very fun little game, reminds me of Learn to Fly a lot in a positive way! Huge fan of the rocket, it's so ridiculously overpowered! My highscore was 9058m, cheers!
Respect the use of Bevy, I've heard it is a cool engine!

Nicely done! I also went for a "Upgrade and Launch as far as you can" style of game, though I have to admit the art for your game looks a lot nicer. I thought the sounds were pleasant to listen to and it felt satisfying hearing a bunch of pickup sounds as you speed through a lot of collectibles. 

 I will say that the hang glider is a bit too powerful at staying airborne in my opinion. It made the first run where I got it last *way* longer than the previous runs, and I felt like the only reason that run stopped was cause I got tired of using it after a few minutes. 

Aside from that, I enjoyed the game. Good job!

Oh wow, that's really cool. I like how we approached the upgrade system in different ways which gives it a totally different feel. Huge thanks to my artist for the sprite work! The hang glider is sorta meant to be a "freestyle mode" as it's the final upgrade you get, but it's definitely very overpowered.

This reminds me of "Penguin Learns to fly" (which makes me feel a little old now...), I had a lot of enjoyment when playing, but I found it hard to control the boost and jump because they were tied to the same button, even though it kept controls simple. I do like collecting yarn as a currency, but feel like the player should be rewarded for getting a personal best distance, or even just some amount of distance.

Thanks for the feedback, Learn 2 Fly was definitely an inspiration! I didn't have time to implement additional mechanics with distance, so it's more of a scorekeeper currently.

I've spent hours tweaking the physics and adjusting the hill hitbox, it's a lot smoother than it used to be. I'm just happy with consistently make it down the hill without flipping over lol

This game was really super fun! It reminds me of Flash games I would play for hours on weekends. 

By the end-game with the glider the game became really fun. I love the tighter controls and mobility it offers you after you obtain wicked height with the rocket. Diving down to swoop back up into catnip is also very cool. 

It kinda contrasts with the balloons, where you have very little control over where you're aiming because of the floatiness. It's fun in its own right, but the skill necessary to pilot the glider well is a lot more fun imo.

One thing that might improve the game overall would be to expand the FoV, since at high speeds (the base level of speed before the glider) everything is a blur and you can't maneuver yourself too well. Also I feel like the music is layering over itself?

This was a good game! I'm excited for your guys' other projects!

I'm glad you enjoyed it, the game was very much inspired by old Flash games I used to play (see Shopping Cart Hero or Learn 2 Fly). I wanted the glider to feel like a powerful endgame item that gives you a lot of freedom and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I'm not exactly sure how to replicate the music issue but I have an idea in mind for patching it. For FoV, maybe it could be cool zooming out as you get faster? Thanks for the feedback!
