Okay okay we;ve had a few questions about this so here goes:
In order to grow, you need to pick up debris, the number of debris you need to get gets higher for each growth. The debris ALSO act as a shield, so if you get hit, the debris go first. If you are out of debris (because they got blasted or you just grew) you only have 1 hp!
That was fun! I asked someone to play with me and the role-reversal did change our strategy from normal tic-tac-toe, which was interesting to see how such a small change impacts the gameplay. A big strategy is to connect 3 of the same color in a row, which becomes a nice game of "who will claim the 5"!
That was so good!! Probably my favorite game this jam so far. It was simple, strategy was straightforward, and being able to see what the opponent rolled before your turn makes it way more satisfying than the other way around.
The tutorial at the beginning did allow for infinite money right out the gate, and it seems others have caught this, but it is probably a simple fix of separating the tutorial from the game itself.
Really cool idea! I clicked play before playing the tutorial and was very confused but the tutorial managed to clear everything up so good job on that! The sound effects were really neat and i liked the "skeletons" left when enemies died. The die mechanic could take a more center stage to make rolling more of a gamble, instead of just trying to get a gun.
