I like you.

A lot of character in those slimes. Really liked the art and gameplay. Awesome work.

Ty ty! This is really encouraging to hear.

Not until you're in the top 10 on the leaderboard!

;P

Thank you for playing!

SFX were also MOTHERaudio. They're an aural wizard.

We really liked the last few screens of the game. I think we all wish we had more time for more art, more levels, and everything else.
Thank you for playing.

Is there an additional theme along with Nights Before Halloween?

Thanks.

Thanks for taking the time play our game and leave a comment.

I think we wanted ricochet sounds but just didn't have enough time once we finally thought about it. We might even have the sounds ready, just not implemented.

Comments like these are great because we see what worked and what didn't. We really appreciate that.

Simple but really well done!
Any chance of a post-jam update? Would like to see this idea fleshed out more.

The browser version does this game a huge disservice. Nice game, I do think it needs more work, but a lot of the foundations are there.
Hope to see more from this team soon.

This game was a blast. Really happy with how you used a single track to keep things familiar and slowly increase the difficulty.
Lovely art, great music, consistent game feel. One of my top picks for this jam.

I had a lot more fun with this than I initially expected. I played this a few times on web and the downloaded it.

Clear inspirations, but I didn't dislike it.

Tank controls aren't standard for games like these, takes a little while to get used to.

Feels so good when you win a level with so little effort.
Love the sounds and the graphics, really feels like a lost NES game.
Great feel overall!

That was a fun quick little game. After the third try, I learned speed is the answer. Loved the boss and the iridescent-y trails from the enemies.  Awesome work!

Keep at it! You can cut your time down to ~0:30 with that exploit!

Thank you!

Thank you so much! We're extremely happy with how this turned out, the music has been on repeat for all of us the whole time.

High praise! Thank you so much for the kind words about the art.

Glad the game made sense after a bit.

Can't wait for the post-jam version!

I wasn't feeling this game for a little bit. Didn't make any sense to me.
FULL-SCREEN makes the game playable.  This is something we didn't test for our jam either.

Pretty fun once you figure the game out in fullscreen. I like the color palette you used. Awesome work!

It's always good game when you cackle.
This was really fun, I think the speed powerup made the game more fun than any other powerups.

Was there anything that indicates how strong you or the other dice are? I might've missed it in my plays.
Awesome work, very fun.

Really enjoyed the scenes you composed and would love to see what you can add in another 48 hrs. It was cool to have a die for attacks and one for defense/healing, I'd love to see how you'd expand on that more.
Needs some polish (it's a jam game almost all of them do), but it had multiple stages and felt I enjoyed the RPG.

You might want to update the controls. Arrow keeps worked, WASD didn't.
The random abilities were cool, wish they were more common to align with the theme a bit more.

Great work!

Very unique jam. I was expecting a lot of dice rolling, and the casino reinforced that, but I liked the manipulation of events through your initial values.
I think the game could've benefited from showing what numbers you've gone through back at earth, but overall really cool.

Check out the dev log for one friend that didn't make it. There were a few more that didn't get past concepts.

Thank you for playing and glad you enjoyed it! Means a lot.

Thank you for the kind words. We've been discussing bug fixes and where we can go with a project like this. We might make some changes and bring in cut content.

Thanks for playing our game and getting so far in it.

Visually well put together, and the mechanics make sense after a single dice roll. Some clicks are unresponsive, but I think that might be an issue with the web build and not the game itself.

This feels very much like a single level of a full game, very well done, congrats to the whole team.

I've had the displeasure of working at a smoothie shop and this captures the nicer parts of it.
I truly enjoyed the cute art style and the humor of some recipes. Maybe ice could've been a separate item button?

Regardless, very fun. Awesome work!

This was surprisingly nice. The instant reset felt jarring at first, but honestly makes the pacing for game very enjoyable. No life limits, just play until you win. loved that.

This game had the perfect balance of both Yee and Haw. I reckon the playability was ex-quis-eet. One time a die tried to saddle up on the sheriff's head, wild dice got wrangled pretty quickly after that. Top marks for this quick draw!

Thank you. The characters and aesthetic has been bubbling in my head for months now.

This would fit in amongst any other arcade cabinets during the 80s and 90s. Awesome.

Seems like a personal problem.

This felt like a very fluid and smooth NES game. I really loved the tileset you made for the deserted desert.

Thank you for the kind words.
We both had a handful of IRL things happening during this, but we're pretty happy with this as a jumping-off point for a real game.
Delay on the jump was my call, I think. We talked about charging a jump and even had a double jump at one point.

A lot of the frustration might've come from me playing with the code. I shouldn't be allowed to touch code. :X

I still see tiles when I close my eyes.

Suffer with me.

Lovely art and a darn fun game.  Really liked the distinct characters you created.

<3 Thank you

This was really fun. I can imagine this as a pivotal part of a training montage for two opposite gamers that were forced to work together.
The art was beautiful, I loved the sound effects and music, the game was simple in concept but had a clear range of difficulty and complications. AWESOME!
