Hey don't be discouraged by your results it's mainly because you didn't hit the 20 ratings. Your game game looks fantastic and the effort you put into the menu and little details is amazing and I really like it. Although it didn't quite feel immersive audio plays a huge role and there seems to be a huge gap between story and gameplay. Keep it up implementing the theme through story is never the best idea but I get why you went with it!

Can I ask you how you made this awesome looking menu?

Thanks for the feedback and I think your suggestion is great I will add it to the post jam version!

Yep I forgot to assign the key to respawn thank you for your feedback !

I had a lot of fun playing your game and I liked the concept. I kinda cheesed the game by somehow climbing up the wall mid way and running sideways to the goal xd. Modelling is hard and the fact you made all art from scratch is amazing but the skybox and the pickups look a bit out of place which weakend the immersive atmosphere. I think the visuals of your game could be improved by keeping the art style consistent.

Why are you copying this comment and writing it under people's games ? It's a shame you didn't even downloaded the game yet you rated it. I am pretty sure you want to have an honest rating and feedback for your game. Is lying actually worth it to have  a game with a lot of ratings ?

Impressive that you made everything from scratch. It was a fun little experience  and I enjoyed the dialogue. In my opinion the one thing you could do better is making the environment feel less empty by ading more objects to the room that fit the great idea for the game.

yep that is a known bug sadly I forgot to assign the key to respawn and I can't change it anymore.

What makes a game beautiful is consistency. The game and the whole world  feels incredibly complete. Nothing is missing it doesn't feel unfinished and you are able to portray a whole story. The art style is amazing and it must have been a ton of work to draw all those scenes. Sometimes I felt a bit lost probably because I am stupid but maybe you should mark exits more clearly and it felt a bit disorienting. But hands down of one of the most beautiful and story rich games of the jam.

This game is really interesting I like the concept! Well done

I liked all the mechanics you implemented in the game and I think the idea is great! Well done!

Cool game!  I really enjoyed playing it you were able to create a nice eerie atmosphere

I like the visuals of your game! Although wall jumping is a bit hard  but I know from experience that it is very hard to get right. You did an amazing job well done!

The mechanic is interesting and I like the concept behind the game! The movement like the jump feels a bit weird and switiching dimensions sometimes makes the player stuck when he was colliding with something in the previous one. Overall well done!

The amount of content in this game is unbelievable! Wow great work. Dialogue systems can be weird and you managed to implement so many functions to make it more interesting and you are able to drive a car in a complete city this is amazing!

The visual effects are amazing I really like your art style it looks kinda random but fits somehow together although the game is pretty hard. Great work!

The idea is brilliant but I had a lot of trouble to understand it. I was stuck for a long time in  the first level until I realised that you could grab the shadow. I am kinda stuck on level two I don't really know what to do I figured out that you can rotate the light but I don't see any exit?  The music is a nice touch and I found a bug where when you restart the level you hear the music twice.  I really like the idea  and the in game menu was a cool solution!

I am confused but in a good way cool game haha

Cool game the graphics are really good! Perhaps add some hit indicators to give more feedback to the player

Thank you for your kind words! I created a standalone build in unity which had all three symbols next to it but maybe I made some mistakes. I am happy you enjoyed the game!

I agree thank you so much! I think the issue with the camera can be traced back to the low resolution and the last level could have used some more variety at the climb. I am happy that a lot of people managed to finish the game as I had troubles with difficulty in the past.

Thank your for your feedback I ran out of time and wasn't able to implement remappable controls but you are right. Glad you enjoyed it anyways.

The idea with the speed boost at the end of a slide is super interesting and making it more useful. I learned that level design is really tough and consumes a lot of time but I am glad that the game is at least  beatable.  Thank you for your kind feedback.

I agree in retrospect I wonder why I implemented physics based movement in a game with a resolution of 320x180 pixels and yes the particles go nuts on a checkpoint which makes it hard to see the player when they respawn or collect the checkpoint. Thank you for pointing it out and your kind feedback!

Solid game! The game was fun and cool. My only complaint is that the spider-like movement can be hard to control near ledges and it feels a bit uncontrollable but I enjoyed playing your game!

I actually used fedora and popOs for some time so maybe this will help you out you can install wine and open the terminal  in the folder with the  .exe file and type "wine applicationName.exe" to run windows software on linux.

What a cool game! The hitbox of spikes are a bit too big because sometimes it seems like the player didn't hit them but is respawned anyway.  The art style is special and consistent although checkpoints and teleporters were a hard to distinguish as well as the spikes. But overall great work!

This is an interesting game! I feel like the lack of information which dot has which effect could have been implemented in some UI with player stats or something. Right now the game is a bit repetitive because you need to do the same thing over and over again  and nothing changes except the plant. Maybe you could increase the game feel and add some juice to it or even change the visuals of the plant to create more satisfaction when it grows. You finished a game with some cute graphics and gameplay with potential and that's great!

What a fun game! I liked the concept and the 3d  pixelated art, the world feels alive and immersive. I think it would have been better to reduce some Bloom because I couldn't see anything in the clouds because it was too bright. Interesting take on the theme.  Great Work!

Thank you so much!

Which operating system are you using ?

Hey I didn't realize that I only selected windows as a platform. I made a standalone build in Unity which means you can play the game on macOS, Windows and Linux. I hope it works for you!

While playing I noticed some issues. First the player jitters when moving make sure to use the LateUpdate or FixedUpdate function to set the cameras position to the players position and second the colliders of the boxes make it feel uncontrollable because I suppose they are not a rectangle which makes it hard to place the boxes precisly. But I think the idea with the hidden Key "E" in the level is a nice touch and is pretty creative and the puzzles were ok. Well done considering this your first game jam!

Solid game! The music hits and the concept is interesting and weird. Sometimes it is really hard to see the health of enemies, colliders like columns in the game were hard to distinguish from the ground and when you run into a wall the camera started jittering. Besides that the game has potential. I especially liked the UI and the game looks great overall.

What a great game! I enjoyed playing it. The level generation was good the pixel art looked right and the colors worked great together. Sometimes it feels a bit unfair if you have only one tile to move to the right or left side and after that there is a red block because you will almost never be able to destroy it in time but well done!

I think your concept is good but the world feels a bit empty and it is easy to get literally lost in some sections because they all look the same. I like your art style and I think with more polish and content this could be a very nice experience. I ran into a bug where a sign was close to a wall and I hit "E" to interact but because of the "jump" I activated the dialogue and got pushed into the air leaving me unable to do anything.  In your description you mentioned under the controls to move with A and S, however it was clear that you meant the D  Key although this might confuse some people. You should try  prioritizing polish over content as it is far more rewarding than being left with a half finished game. The animation of the player looked sick.

Great work I enjoyed playing your game!  The art looks fantastic and I especially liked the scene transition. Although the jumping robot feels a bit unreliable in its movement mainly  because the acceleration is sometimes stronger and sometimes weaker (Did you use delta for calculating the acceleration ?) and the hitbox is pretty large which made some jumps hard to execute. But overall great game the idea has a lot of potential.
