Great arcade/metal vibes! Only thing I’d add is a yellow blinking arrow pointing down at the door with some sound effect when the level is cleared, I found myself like, "ok, what now... oh the door, right – level cleared!" Great job with this one!
A bit short, but the gameplay itself is great! I like the music too, fits really well.
I'm not sure if it's from my experience with the Streets of Rage games, but I found the floors to all be pretty easy to clear whilst taking little to no damage, although that's fine given it's a game jam and lots of people here are probably inexperienced with beat-em-ups.
The only issues I had was getting permanently frozen on my second run, and the punching ninja enemy hit me despite his entire arm being in front of me.
Good job
Very fun game, I had a great time with it :)
I like the overall vibe of the game. The opponents have all their distinct flair. I especially like the ninja.
When I played, the game got stuck when the guy with the spear hit me. I needed to restart.
Also the 3-dimensional rooms look quite cool with the pixel graphics.
This game was quite fun! I Beat it on the second try, the first try had a bug and froze after a few rooms. I like the enemy variety and the difficulty scales well. Great job!
Nice beat em up action in low rez. Ducking and weaving with the dash is fun, it took me three or so runs to beat it. Has a nice sense of depth with simple colors. The special attack animation is great. Great job as always.
I really like the combination of 2d art in a 3d room, along with the well made sprites. The audio and music were great and the gameplay was designed very well with the gradual ramping up in difficulty. I did encounter a bug on the last level where I couldn't control the player after getting hit, but that was the only issue I had.
It was fun once I got the hang of it. Nice graphics and sound. Good job!
Great game! I like that you encounter new enemies in rooms for themselves so that its easier to learn their patterns. I also really like the warping look of the game.
I encountered just one bug. After being hit by the spear-guy, the player became intangible and uncontrollable, so I had to restart. Which isn't that big of a problem since a run up the tower is relatively short.
Well done! I'm definitely coming back to chase that high score higher!
Absolutely sick, awesome job. Every floor felt perfectly fair but still challenging with the multi-enemy encounters. I love how there were ‘teaching floors’ where you’d be introduced to a new enemy type, and then ‘test’ floors where you’d be tested on that enemy in a mob encounter. Feels really well-designed.
I also love how the special makes you invincible and stuns enemies out of attacks; It felt really good to have an ‘oh shit’ button like that. The main character’s animations were also great, I got a huge grin on my face the first time I used the special attack. Great job!
Loved the action and music of this game, I managed to reach level 7 or 8 (don't remember well) on first try and felt really good, enemies were easy to understand, I want to play again.
I'm not too good for these kind of fights, but fun game anyway. I love the use of perspective with the 3d background, makes it very dynamic
Great simple mechanics and game loop! Definitely could be a full release with a couple more moves and enemy types!
Once I got a hold of the dodge, this game became rlly fun and satisfying to play :]
Fun little game! Aside from the sluggish kind of feeling the player gave (which I quickly got used to), the gameplay was pretty good and well thought out. I got softlocked at one point, but it was all good as I didn't lose too much progress by restarting. I like how intergral the dash is in this game, and this game feels quite calculated as opposed to my initial thought that this was a button masher. I wished the music in the game couldve been longer however, though time constraints of jams make details like that hard to perfect. The super move was fun to mess around with, though it feels a little weak for how powerful it looked. No complaints on the resolution whatsoever. Good submission to the jam!
