Cool aesthetic

It's nice to see people using the two buttons diversifier. Presentation is really nice. The only thing is the slow-down every time you get hit is super brutal. If bigger enemies hit you you can easily just get stuck in a loop of not moving until your health is drained.

The art style in this is super cute

Super cute! This is a really neat idea. Only problem is that collisions are a little bugged in some places, so the stick figure would get stuck

Simple but enjoyable. For games like this I would really recommend keeping the camera centered on the player, though, otherwise aiming gets really finicky and frustrating.

This hurt my head in a very fun way. Only mechanic I wasn't super clear on was how each guy turned around, and I initially assumed I was softlocked on lvl 2

Super cute idea. I liked the levels that had a little more of a puzzle focus a lot. If you ever expanded on this, I'd take out the blind falls or add some kind of coin trail so players know what to expect.

This game has a really neat idea and aesthetic. It's been done before, but I haven't ever seen it in a 2D format. I wish it had a little more leniency or a warning when ghosts were approaching you from the dark, though. Deaths start to feel unfair very early on and it gets nearly impossible to keep track of where every ghost is in relationship to your character.

you're kind of acting like a dickhead

This was a cute idea. Like others have said, could definitely use some variation. Having the bird flap at different intervals or the pipes exist at different heights would have worked well.

Very cute and enjoyable idea. Didn't overstay its welcome or get too difficult

This was cute. I liked the presentation and idea. The difficulty spike at the end felt like it was a bit much, especially considering a lot of the timing for the second-to-last level felt like luck, but that's hard to get right in a shorter jam.

thank you!

thank you! i did actually set up a color blind mode but ran out of time to fully implement it. It's basically in the game but there's no button that actually activates it

This was really fun. The introductions of new mechanics were well done and I liked the fast-paced aiming + running through a lot of the levels. Polish is there, sound effects work well, and the visual style, though simplistic, does its job well and remains cohesive.

My only criticism is that the time limit didn't seem as justified in the more puzzle-focused stages. A few, as simple as they were, really wanted me to stay still and survey the area before continuing forward. (Maybe you could have a bomb item or something specifically for fast-paced sections?)

This is definitely one of my favorite submissions so far. I'd be surprised if it didn't at least make an appearance in the next video

yeah lol. jam started while i was apartment hunting in another city and it ran through two 8-hour shifts at work. i had to throw what i could in a blender and just submit whatever came out.

this is really really cute

The main mechanic is an interesting idea and I had fun for a bit. I didn't see the point of having to wait to turn into a block, though. The time it takes to change states really hurts this game, but that also means it could be "fixed" pretty easily by adding a button that does it instantaneously. I'd really like to play an updated build some time after the voting period ends!

i'm just happy that there's a significant chance mark brown will have to play this for his followup video

What I could play was fun! Unfortunately made me motion sick pretty quickly, though. If you revisit this, I'd suggest not having the camera follow the bounce of the ball

This was very cute! I haven't seen a game with this mechanic.

This is a neat idea. My main criticism is just the lack of contrast between the character and background; it was really hard to tell where I was in a few instances

this is a really cool approach to having boss-style attacks without feeling too overpowered

The graphical style and idea are cute. my only criticism is that there's not a huge amount of variation (at least not early on), so it gets a bit redundant if the bxxx doesn't move around

i feel like not having control over when the ship fires is like 90% of the point of the game

i feel like it's mostly in good fun and the creator poking fun at himself, considering it's a game jam submission about gamers *and developers*

disrespectful to whom

This was very cute! Thank you for joining  my jam!!

watched my friend spend 20 minutes trying to figure out any of the "puzzles" before they clicked on the door. 10/10

It's not something I even thought about honestly, but I'm perfectly okay with it if you want to submit a tabletop game!

This post is a bit late (fittingly, because I was at work), but the Everyday Life Jam has officially begun!

I didn't expect any entries at all for my first hosted jam, so I was very excited to see 9 people sign up before the first day was over. Even if nobody ends up actually submitting a game, there's something exciting about the fact this was seen at all.

There's just a little under two weeks now to make and submit something. Remember: it's encouraged not to take the whole two weeks if you have other responsibilities. This entire jam is for fun, and the time frame is designed to give you ample opportunity to just pick up your project whenever you have some free time. There's an option to say how long your entry took to make, so you don't even have to worry about being compared to someone who took the full 14 days.

There's not much else to say that hasn't been covered in the jam page. Comments will be left on for this thread, so if you have any questions/concerns feel free to reach out.

Thank you all again for even taking the time to glance my way.

I revisited it while going through entries with my friend and actually managed to get to the end with only two restarts! I really love all the ideas presented here and my friend (has taken way too many Classics courses) really enjoyed the story.

Really amazing presentation for such a simple concept. Really fun, too. My only suggestion would be to lower the timer a little bit to fit the hectic nature of the game.

This was a really unique take on the theme, and I really enjoyed the art style and polish all around. It was really fun to play, too.

Really really liked the couch multiplayer aspect. I was going through jam entries with my friend and we had a lot of fun with this one.

Edit: Also, I won, in case you were wondering.
