very nostalgic! love it
I really enjoyed it, it feels very polished and it's a nice take on a familiar game! Found it a bit hard to deal with enemies that were hiding behind the health bar. Overall great job!
This was a really unique take on the theme, and I really enjoyed the art style and polish all around. It was really fun to play, too.
I liked the high risk-high reward idea and it was executed weel in an enjoyable experience. The visual style is great too (and I also appriciated the huge healthbar which was really important), the music fit the mood and a sound effects were fitting and great too! Nice job!
Suuper cool game !! loved the aesthetic ,I think the black and white color pallet works well together ! Fells like a fully polished and completed game , Good stuff overall and nicely done :)) !!
Wow, this is a tough one! Had me desperately mashing buttons to bounce between one and the higher numbers as fast as I could :) I got up to 9000, it was a blast! Great job!
I liked it a lot!
The drain may be a bit unbalanced, but apart from that the concept is really creative: the higher the damage done, the higher the risk.
It's a nice change from the random aspect of dice, since here we're in full control, and it makes juggling with power a nice strategic aspect.
Visually, it's simple, but in a good way. The sound effects are cool too.
Great submission, and excellent work for a first game! =)
This game was a lot of fun for such a simple idea. Blasting ships with level 4/5/6 was really enjoyable. My first playthrough I tried to use level 2 guns and found it impossible to keep my health bar up, so I'd tweak the power/drain levels a bit if you choose to continue to work on the game after the jam. Very fun!
First off thank you for your feedback! And yeah haha the jump from 1-3 is real, it feels like 2 is only relevant for about 10 seconds as it currently stands. Thank you so much for the kind words!
Fun game! I really like the trade off between being weaker and dealing more damage. It fits very nicely and adds a great layer of strategy to the game. The only issue I encountered is 'esc' both backs out of the tutorial and takes the game out of full screen. Other then that bug, the game is amazing, great job!
Ah yes! I was so miffed on realizing that haha. Lesson learned, and thank you so much for your feedback!
Loved the game! Very polished, I really like the sacrificing hp for dmg mechanic! Only one thing: The "You Died" screen needs to be more visible because I initially couldn't see it over the waves of enemies and thought the game had crashed!
You're absolutely right! My bad haha, thank you for the feedback
Very neat! My first impression was that it was a very simple game but the more I played I realised it had a lot of depth to it. It felt very satisfying blowing up the late game waves. The game feels really polished. // theheheo
Thank you so much, yeah Face 6 I wanted to feel really big, I gotta figure out screenshake and add that in after the jam!
aaaawesome, it was pretty satisfying to let wave 6 explode in a huge massacre :D looks and feels nice, too :)
Thank you so much! Yeah haha 6 was the funnest to make too, I was just thinking, "it needs to be BIG" 🦍
it’s a lot of fun. As one of the last games posted on the jam. it’s certainly addictive
Really cool game, love the nervous gameplay! Art and music mesh well too. One thing, having the mouse-wheel 'roll over' when changing weapons would make the controls a lot easier i think.
Thank you so much! Could you clarify what you mean by 'roll over'? Would love to see if this is something I can implement.
When you have dice 1, the mouse-wheel can only be used in one direction to change weapons (only rolling up), because you can only increase, and not 'roll over' (going form one to six, or six to one).
ahh got you, thanks for the clarification! I’ll definitely look into that after the jam
I love how polished the games feels, though I can't see the reason to use any face but 6.
I should rename the game "Greedy Dice Wants to be Six" 😂
