Beautiful little story. Very polished for 5 day's work. Well done!

Excellent  entry!

Fantastic art, gameplay and sticks to the theme of text and dialogue based.

Amazing work, I really enjoyed it.

Neither me

Great little game. Fun to play. Winning is fairly easy but you can continue on to make a nice graveyard. Good work.

Sure, I just made a git repo and linked there instead. The source is also on the game's download page.

Updated my submission.

Nice work! That's beeter than I can get :)

Been watching your game dev videos and love the idea. Only just realised the game was available here, played it and was not disappointed.

Love it - simple, beautiful, scope for more features if you choose to add them. Wish I had made this game :D

Definitely a more superior take than mine on the 'protect the pixel art Earth from flying space rocks' genre! Nice work, fun to plan and nice polished graphics.

I think, after the voted period, I'm going to have to update this game with some music! Challenge accepted.

Nice game mechanic and fun to play. I like the personality of the antagonist and the way the game builds in difficulty. The losing is good is perhaps a stretch but so was mine!

Nice game with a simple but interesting mechanic. I think I was struggling with collisions but otherwise it was fun to play, had a bit of strategy and great aesthetic and tunes

Nice game, well presented and plenty of 'juice'! Fun to play as well. Tricky to get a good score, sorry to all the little scorpions I accidentally killed along the way!

Thanks!

Thanks!

I did want to add BGM but I just didn't have time or really know what it should sound like.

yup, that was the most common issue!

Ha ha, made me laugh out loud. I really failed miserably - Merry Christmas!

Nice music, crazy driving game, but liked that it rewarded me for losing!

Nice pro-pollution spin on the genre! Loved the graphics and the destructible coral. Found the game very hard, never made it to the surface :(

We did consider showing what is coming and having a balance of wasted food $ and bills paid just ran out of time and stopped as soon as it was kind of fun. Maybe in a future update! Thanks for the feedback :)

Is it really short? I like a puzzle game and this has potential

Nice work, always impressed with a range of levels in a game jam ( my game jam games hardly ever have more than one!) Good puzzles and fun to play

Nice work making a single game for three jams at once. I think the rotation is a bit of a stretch but I guess its there! The game went from slow to too hard pretty quickly but was fun while it lasted!

I was hoping that the spatula returns home eventually but I really should have constrained it a little to stop it getting too far away or locked behind things.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll try your game out after work!

Was getting right into this and then got an error. Will try again.

Very linear but with an interesting plot and a clean presentation. Will rate it once I give it another go.

Complicated game! I made a menu and ate some cookies. I guess I could have earned more money if I set things right, but my dessert burger and healthy pizza still brought me in some income.

I got a bit confused with the commands and needed to use the help system after every command! Also some commands need to use the name and some work with the index so I got in a tangle, your gameplay video helped.

I don't think its a bug... (famous last words).

Look at what he asks for when you ask him about the spider people, then make sure you have given him all three things.

The Professor can help if you give him the things he needs.

Having examined the crashed spaceship in the lake try:

Ask professor herbert about dead spider

It might help, it might just get trickier from there!

I'm sure I can get it running now, I'll give it a try this evening. Thanks!

Right, I'm going to go back and try and win the competition then. Forget the war, its my own personal glory I'm after!

Excellent, I'm going to play through some more times tonight and see what jobs I get offered!

Windows Defender doesn't like this file and deletes it for me. (Virus detected) Any ideas?

A very clever little game. I like the number of actions and the modifiable items. In a small room with only a few items it feels like there are lots of things to try. Variety in the scientist action makes it interesting as she responds to every single move you make.

I had to play through a few times before I got any job offer at all and still feel like there is more to it. I'm going to play a bit more before I rate it.

One thing I did notice - and I'm not sure if its intentional it not - but some of the math answers will give correct and incorrect responses for the same command. e.g.,

>math, 1

Weird but accurate!

Incorrect, that number is not the solution to any of the equations.

Interesting game in two very short acts. The map was needed because the room descriptions don't provide all the exits.

I seemed to win even though I lost so I'm not sure if the glitched or I got confused with the story. Challenging with the limited parser but there is some personality to this game that could be developed with more time.

Nice work.

Well, it is text based. Not that interactive though! :)

I needed to tweak your source code in order to play past the lab. I think you have a stray exit() on line 56.

Once I took that out I could play the game. I agree with cmd16, it starts frustrating but you get into a groove. It's pretty random but that's the style of this game, strange and unexpected deaths from the obvious answers and success from the less obvious ones.

Nice work.

You need the watch to be counting backwards instead of forwards. There is an item in your inventory and a device in the laboratory that can change the watch to work how you need it... I hope that helps without being too much of a spoiler!
