Great game!
Gotta compliment the animation. Super interesting style, and all the animation is super readable. I can tell that extra time was put into making the enemy deaths satisfying, and it was definitely worth it! Watching those enemies explode is very satisfying. Plus the intro and outro were excellent! Got a laugh out of me with the cow at the end.
I also love the little juice of the health bar flashing as it grows a chunk.
Also, it's super fun to run and gun through the enemies! Gameplay is satisfying.
Well done! You guys killed it!
Well done! There's a lot to praise here, not only is there fun gameplay but you have a impressive UI system linking scenes together — which takes a lot more effort than people realize!
I love the concept of the wildidoo, and I love the main premise of the game. Finding the meat and exploring the levels is fun. The banana maze is def my favorite level! I think the game could benefit from even more obstacles — I love how each level presents a unique twist, but I think the game is missing a sense of danger - I wish the wildidoo was chasing me, and I was getting attacked by geese or something! There's real potential for a frantic/action game here. But the exploration ended up being a lot of fun too! The maps are just big enough you feel like you get to really look around, but the levels don't drag on. That's a tough balance to strike, and you got it!
Overall, well done! Very impressive.
Fun little game! I really like how your projectile is in the opposite direction of the player's motion, it breaks convention and encourages the infinite running gameplay!
And the art is super cute and lively. I think palette consistency would help tie together all the art pieces - if the witch is holding a pumpkin candy bag, it should be a similar color to the pumpkins elsewhere.
Overall well done! Fun little scroller!
Phenomenal art, and great worldbuilding! I love the diegetic map, and the story is fun! Really well done! Polished and professional!
I love ren'py, and I found that the magic sauce to making my stories feel more immersive was incorporating music — I think if you dropped in an audio track that would really make the game come to life!
Great job!!!
The jam has ended! Incredible job everyone! Thank you to all the people who rated a lot of games.

🏆 Second place: (tie) Sparks & Jorge!
Again, great games everyone! Our top 3 games were all made in different countries!
Unfortunately because we have two second place winners, the host preference will have to be the tiebreaker for the 3rd place awards. Sorry, I really wish we had a big enough budget to get both of you the 2nd place prize!

Hey all!
Great job so far on voting on the games. It's awesome to see we have more than 400 ratings!! Great job everyone! Make sure to rate as many games as you can before voting ends on Sunday!
Just as a heads up for the final score reveals: the rankings will not be immediately revealed after the voting period ends. We will be looking at the results first and evaluating them for any potential suspicious activity before we release them. (example: games that have almost no comments but have a lot of ratings, or games that have a very polarized spread of bad & perfect reviews) We don't expect to have anything like that happen, but it's just a precaution we take to make sure people are playing fair! :)
Keep in mind that the end rankings ultimately do not matter at all! If you made a game, consider yourself a winner! You all learned so much during this jam.
If you win a prize, (1st-3rd place) please stay tuned to itch.io for updates! We will be asking for contact info (discord usernames or email addresses) so we can privately get your locations for prize shipping.
