Fun and original puzzle game, I must say I was a little overwhelmed by the barrage of text, but at its core the rules are pretty straightforward, I really love the music and the sound design, the minimalist graphics is also on spot. Nicely done!
This was absolutely the best game I’ve ever played from a game jam. The full experience was amazing and truly left me satisfied and in awe of what you guys were able to complete in the ten days!! The graphics were amazing, the atmosphere, music, and sfx, were all spot on. The story was awesome. AND the puzzle itself was so well made and the perfect amount of complexity and challenge. As I filled the book up with all the details of symbols and aspects, I was just blissfully enjoying all the thought going into it! I even ended up drawing out the pentagram on paper and writing each symbol down as I went to be sure I did everything correctly! Sadly.. I failed the first time because I didn’t realize I was a witch!! But I think that info was in the introduction and it didn’t click for me. But the second time was easy peasy! Loved the endings (I chose to let him free), loved the books, loved all of it. Amazing job guys, and I really hope you end up winning this!
Thank you a lot! Very happy you enjoyed it that much!
WOW!, this is just amazing and atmospheric. There is so much detail in this.
i'm really impressed.
Wow. I am very bad at these types of games. But the game has great atmosphere. One of the best game I've played so far. 👍
The art is wonderful!
This game has a lot of content. it's impressive for a week-long gamejam game.
Congrets! I'm impressed!
Thank you!
Really cool game, amazing artwise.
I failed my attempt at the ritual too :( I need to use notes and more braincells to solve this XD
Used help from other comments to solve it (cheating?) and I loved both endings.
Very impressive effort. The sound design together with the visuals really popped. Everything fit togheter nicely and you could really cut the atmosphere with a knife. A very inspiring title. It's clear that a lot of effort went into this.
🕯 It is very good, I like the setting, although the runes are confusing (an idea could be to use your cell phone to check the notes or the books) 🕯
Wow! This is extremely well-made for a jam game!
Honestly, stellar work! The atmosphere, the art, the music and sound effects, the silent whispering and mumbling as you frantically try to complete your task - All were polished to an unbelievable degree!
I used to play a lot of unsettling point-and-click games back in the day, and this one really hits the mark! Everything down to the menu is beautifully crafted!
Also, “Let me offer you some constructive criticism” 😉 there was a point where the creature would not tell me what was wrong in the ritual, it would just say it was wrong, that it wants to give me some advice, and then the advice was empty.
The only thing I found lacking was the theme, though the game certainly does more with less, I feel like there could have been a stronger connection.
Still, this was perhaps the best game I have played this jam, so you deserve a great score!
Thanks for the feedback and the bug report!
Awesomely atmospheric!
I honestly can't believe y'all managed to make this in such a short time-frame, absolutely incredible work!
Thank you!
Clearly a huge amount of work has gone into this. Amazing what can be done with a team compared to us poor solo plebs. Loved the story, loved the immersion. The character of the eye in the dark is very very good!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed!
This was an amazingly atmospheric game! I'm astounded by the pixel art and impressed you were able to fit so much into the jam! The simple mechanics (figure out what runes to use, make sure they don't conflict, prepare incense, and sacrifice) built a surprisingly deep gameplay loop and I could definitely see this being blown up into a full on game with random enemies to banish!
The story beats in the beginning immediately sucked me in, the art kept me engaged and enamored with the experience, and the gameplay made me have to think a lot more than most puzzle-esque game jam games!
Absolutely beautifully done and I'm excited to see what y'all put out next!
Thanks a lot! Very happy you enjoyed it!
The visuals and the sound design are phenomenal.
Second try, because I forgot to add the finger. Oh well. Not exactly my cup of coffee, but I did really enjoy this game.
Thanks for the game.
This is really awesome! The visuals are striking in their simplicity and the subtle use of color really works. Also, the sound design is fantastic, the intro especially sounded really good in my headphones, a very immersive experience.
Some of the controls where not the most intuitive, I felt like I fumbled around trying to figure out where to click more than I would have liked, but otherwise it felt great. I really liked the tomes on the side, really enhanced the "I need to research this..." aspect of these kinds of games. (also a really clever way to work around keeping everything on a single screen instead of having multiple places to go to)
Thanks a lot for your feedback!
Very cool, complex, and visually attractive game. You have a pretty good team :)

You guys did really good. This isn't your first game with this team constellation, isn't it?
Thanks for showing what is possible ;)
Thank you! Yes, we've been working together for a while.
Very pro to be from a jam but it gives me meio, kidding great job!! <3 <3
Thanks!
What the way theme was incorporated? I found two ends but I still don't see where theme is...
We'd rather let our game speak for itself ;)
