good job!
Great work! I really enjoyed the moment when I clear a row or a column at once. The art style and 8-bit music are also charming. Sometimes I cannot clearly see which column/row the pile flies above. But after all this is an amazing game!
Simple and fun! The aesthetic of the menu and of the game in general is really minimalistic, yet really pretty. It works well! As other people said, it was kinda hard to see which tiles I was hovering. Maybe highlights on the hovered crops or a shadow casting over them would have helped. Also, I would love to see balance in the level of "voracity" of the insects! Ants have just a small crops, but it would be great to see that they can eat 2 levels in one go for exemple. It would add depth and strategy! Really cute game overall, I didn't see any other game on this theme for now. GG!
Pretty fun idea! Directional input with isometric tiles is always a bit tricky, but otherwise the UI was pretty clear. I probably would have preferred mouse input, but I guess that’s not how PICO-8 works.
Strategy-wise, I feel like this game could use a little more depth. Seems like Flies and Locust Swarms are pretty much always the best thing to use, while ants are extremely underpowered. Maybe having some enemy types to higher amounts of damage would help with that.
yo another pico 8 game! love the style and the music, and the game is fun too! only major complain is that its kinda hard to see where you're going to place your blocks. could definitely benefit from using a different fillp or maybe having a slight shadow. nice job!
The art and music definitely stood out the most for your game! You did an excellent job making a fun retro feeling game. I think in ways it could have been a bit more intellectually engaging, but for what it is, it is really well done! Great job :)
Heyyyy a Pico-8 game! Nice! Also, this was a really unique concept that I liked a ton! Would you believe me, though, if I told you that this was not the first isometric grid-based strategy game about insects that I've played? I'm not saying this is unoriginal at all, I'm just amazed at the fact that there's another game that fits those criteria lol
I liked this game, it has a relaxing vibe to it. Watching the vegetation disappear was pretty satisfying. I think that the game could have had more challenge, but I think it's fine as it stands. Good job!
A nice idea, but perhaps a bit too simple? I know I could go for a high score, but I think I would have enjoyed more if I had limited moves and had to figure out how best to use the bugs to clear out specific patterns. As it currently is, I just went for the heavy hitters more often than not.
For the most part this game feels very intuitive and finished, it's pretty well done. The one issue is that it is too difficult to tell which tiles will be hit. Overall it's a fun little game though.
Really cool strategy idea. I enjoyed watching the bugs clear up the vegetation! It was a little confusing to see which tiles would get destroyed, so maybe it could use some sort of highlighting to let the tiles stand out! Very nice take on the theme!
