I think this game has done the best it could. The movement for the spider characters feels just right, and the combat is pretty good too. However, maybe because of the limited time, I felt there wasn’t much room for strategy when playing. Anyway, I’ve made a similar game before, and that one took me three months. Considering this was made in just seven days, it’s pretty impressive.

Yeah, I totally agree with your advice. But with the tight schedule, I only had time to get the basics done, just enough to make the game loop work. I had to rush it, so I used C# for card matching, AI, and the main flow, which means I can’t export it to a runnable web version. As far as I know, Godot 4 with C# can’t export to web yet. I really appreciate your comments, though. Next time for the game jam, I’ll definitely consider making it simpler one.
I absolutely love the music and visuals in the main menu, and the sound effects during gameplay are super fun too. If there could be a bit more strategic depth, it might become an awesome piece of work. But for something made in just seven days for a competition, you can’t ask for too much. I think the game has already achieved its design goals and it’s done pretty well.
I just made some repair on the game play, include a bullet count and a restart button.
But to design a beignner guide is a too lot to ask ,since I just try to build a card game test.
That’s why I upload a gameplay video on the game page.
Thanks for playing. It’s very kind of you to leave a pertinent review.
