Super creative concept! Had a good time cycling through a few times to see all the different laws you could get. The rating system at the end is also very cool - it feels like there was a lot of research put into the game. Good work :)
Great game! Enjoyed very much. The idea of making a government is unique.
Brilliant interpretation of the theme & definitely appeals to the part of me that used to play the total war series, for one reason or another. Thank you so much for participating!
Not a big fan of politics but this games made me want to learn politics more. I love the old aesthetic plus it's actually a pretty neat concept!
What a neat concept! Definitely a good iteration on those "choose from two choices" types of games if you know what I mean. Figuring out what kind of government my choices led to was very interesting to discover, especially because I'm not into politics and whatnot. The clapping and booing sound effects were also a nice touch, but I wasn't sure who or why they would cheer or get mad? Never the less, it was definitely a nice touch. I also quite like the main menu design with the computer tabs at the top as if I'm in a digital parliament program of some type.
I wish there was a bit more depth to the mechanics you have here, but I also believe asking for more from what you've made in the span of a week is a bit unrealistic and perhaps out of scope.
Overall, nicely done this was a very neat and interesting game to play around with. Keep up the good work!
The crowd response is completely random! I thought it was a nice touch to how a public forum could be reacting to choices being made. We didn’t want to assign any judgement to the choices a player was making. The overall effect was quite entertaining though.
Interesting game, it made me think about politics for a bit. Nice simple aesthetics.
No matter what I do I end up creating North Korea. Maybe that says something about me lol? I like the idea, the game sort of feels like a more interactive political compass test. If you where to develop this further you could add interest groups that respond to different policies you enact, ala "Dictator - rule the world". Good entry.
cool concept! this is a def tough game to make with the needed research to do and implement into the game, well done
Man, this idea is so unique and fun! The concept of all the cards and the game as a whole is really well done. I genuinely enjoyed the idea congratulations!!
I absolutely love the music and visuals in the main menu, and the sound effects during gameplay are super fun too. If there could be a bit more strategic depth, it might become an awesome piece of work. But for something made in just seven days for a competition, you can’t ask for too much. I think the game has already achieved its design goals and it’s done pretty well.
really cool interpretation of the theme. I tried to get the most authoritarian government but could only get 40 %
Interesting concept and subject most of all! Though hard to do as a 1 week game jam as it is a complex subject.
Also I think when you choose a law it is not well outlined to which form of government or affiliation it goes to. There is a quick outline but it's not visible, something to change probably. Also the trash button doesn't work I think, I think it was done to view new laws to choose from, so right now we have a bit an arbitrary choice between 3 that we don't necessarily want
Could you play and comment my game plz?
The UI is unclear but the trash icon isn't a button, just an indicator for where bills that you pass on go. We also intentionally don't show you what government types a bill adds to before you pick it -- the intent is that you choose your bill and then see what happens with your choice. We didn't intend for people to have a government type in mind when they picked their bills.
Anyway, thanks for playing! I'm going to spend this week playing the other games in the jam, I look forward to trying yours. :)
I like the play on "assemble". I like how you got assets of the governments themselves!
Thank you :D
Do you plan to make any future updates? Maybe a couple UI changes and some different BGM could work. Reach out to me if you want soundtrack work.
Also, if it's not too much of a bother, could you rate my project?
It might be a fun project to flesh out more in the future. Refined UI/graphics/BGM/presentation would be high on the list, along with some more careful writing of bills and how they relate to different political philosophies. For now there are other projects each of us are more interested in pursuing. You never know though. :) Thank you for the offer on soundtrack! Perhaps we could collab on other things in the future.
It's on my todo list this week to play and rate all of the other games in the jam, I'll be sure to start with yours. <3
Thanks! I'll keep an eye out for anything you release
This was great, really fascinating experience. Only "complain" I guess you could say is sometimes when wanting to make a totally authoritarian state I would be given options that go against their principles. Maybe there is a deeper meaning in not getting what you aimed for ;)
Thank you for playing! <3
