Well spotted. The main difference between the AIs is how good their dodging is.
Thank you for playing and for the positive words.

Hey. My feedback:

  • Very nice art style.
  • Imho the whole game should be mouse-controlled.
  • I get caught by the camera as soon as the minigame starts. Is that a bug?
  • The music doesn't loop correctly, which sounds really weird.

Hey. My feedback:

The game could look much better, if it had a consistent art style. (The ground/wall textures and the Cthulhu statue are too different from the rest).

The tutorial is not very clear. I would have prefered some in-game text, instead of the animation.

This is probably too much work, but I feel that the game would be significantly better, if the player can move.

Hi.

The game definitely needs a turorial or an in-game explanation of the mechanics. They were not clear to me.

The game doesn't have sound. Is that a bug?

A bit of animation would also be cool.

I feel that there is some potential here. I am looking forward to an update. Cheers.

I like the 3rd the most because it is simple. Number 2 seems to be the most complex and number 1 seems to strike a balance. But take my opinion with a pinch of salt. They are all great interesting ideas.

I am looking forward to the next update. Cheers!

Congratz on the great GMTK ranking!!! Very nice improvements on the game's overall quality. The tutorial is also well-made.

My suggestions, if you are planning to work on it more:

  • Increase the shadow draw distance of the webgl build. I think you need to change the default quality settings.
  • More reasons to use the elevation change. For example: much longer trains and rivers.
  • Collectible bonuses (more cars, a time-limited speed increase,...), that are not on the direct path to the objective. This forces the player to constantly make risk-reward decisions.

Nice to see that you had a similar idea to mine. We named our games similarly and we both uploaded our games at the last minute. We must be twins, who were separated at birth. Hahaha.

Great effort. It has potential, if you polish it more and add more gameplay depth.

Cheers!

An actual game with multiple levels and progression? In 48 hours? Wow. Great job.

Very intuitive and pleasant to play. I encourage you to work on it more and add polish/juice. Cheers!

Thank you for playing and for the encouraging words <3

Apart from the bug, the game was very enjoyable to play. Most submissions went for a mechanic reversal, not a narrative one. Extra points for originality xD

It could use more polish, but 48 hours is really too short for that. I would definitely play a more polished version, if you work on it a bit more. Cheers.

Excellent design and focus on the primary gameplay loop. The game looks really cute and feels juicy and polished. If I have to nitpick, I would say: make the jump a bit more snappy

Top tier submission. Congratz.

Yeah, "light" pressure. Hahaha.

Very helpful feedback. Thank you very much.

Not the first reverse snake that I played, but this is by far the best one I played. Very original and unique twist on the snake formula. Adding a bit of "juice" would make it even better. Cheers!!!

Thank you for cheering me up. xD

Very unique and original game. I really liked it, although I wish it was a bit faster and more responsive. Cheers!

I rated 93 games so far and this is definitely one of the most original games. Congratz.

I played many "you are the level" games from this jam. This is one of the best ones, if not THE best. It would have been even better with better graphics/presentation. Congratz!

Very funny and fun. Congratz.

I see that your game is also about earth's destruction. Haha.

Thank you for the tip about the embed options. <3

Thank you for the positive comment. Yeah, the game definitely needs more polish, balancing and content (For example, multiple stages with ramping difficulty).

Wow. This is really good. I liked the core gameplay loop, the funny tone and how it has more content than a typical jam game. I really see the potential for a commercial game here. I encourage you to polish it more after the jam. One of the best GMTK23 games that I tried so far.

Thx very much. My game is nowhere near your amazing game. Cheers!

Oh. Wow. I am glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for the very kind message. <3

Yeah, that was one of the bugs that I noticed right after uploading xD

Thank you for the comment.

Very creative and funny. Great job.

The bubble highlights which ship can shoot. Only one ship can shoot at a time. There must be a better way to communicate it to the player. Hmmm.

Thanks for playing and leaving a comment. Better luck next time, Alien.

Oh. Wow. Nice pro-gamer skills xD Thanks for the message.

I rated your game. Very cool idea and fun game. I hope you can polish it a bit more after the jam. Cheers!

Reading your message made me wanna replay the game. You are very good at marketing. Hahaha.

So nice of you. Thank you very much.

Very creative intepretation of the jam's theme. The windows XP graphic style is well executed. Cheers.

Haha. Very funny intepretation :D  Thanks for the comment.

I also did a reversed space invader. It is interesting to see how different our final games are. Cheers.

I agree 100% that it needs much more polish (and more playtesting).
Very helpful feedback. Much appreciated. <3

I like the addicting gameplay loop and the cool graphic style.
The character can easily get stuck between the walls and platforms.

aMazingly chaotic and surprisingly fun. Great job.

I see that you got your inspiration from the game of the Jam's organizer :D
Very well executed. I encourage you to polish the gameplay a bit more after the jam.

One of the best GMTK23 games that I tested so far. A bit too hard, but well polished.
I especially like the clear UI and the game's focus on a simple gameplay-loop.

Very cool and unique idea. Amazingly polished for a 2 day-game.

Thank you for the encouraging message ^^

The game needs balancing and a harder difficulty, but the idea is great and has lot of potential.
I encourage you to work on it beyond the 2-day jam.
Best wishes <3
