That's exactly what I was going for haha! I am definitely considering add some drawn 2D limbs post jam. Thanks a lot for playing and the feedback!

Thank you so much for playing and the feedback!

1. I would definitely like to do this. I was thinking to add 2D limbs that are drawn flatly that only have a few key frames of animation. I'd love to see arms windmill through the air too haha.

2. I could consider some sort of roguelite mode which becomes more of a power trip than the current one 🤔

Thanks again!

Awesome game! I have only done one playthrough so far but I definitely want to come back and get more of the endings! Very eager to learn how everyone got stuck down here in the first place. I got something of a Danganronpa vibe from this, too. Well done!

This was a great time! I loved whipping my enormous fully charged strand of fettucine all over the place. I enjoyed the variety of enemies and especially the animation of the big guys jumping around. The balance is well thought out regarding regulating how much beam you use and using it for multitasking, wiping out oodles of enemies lined up with a battery. Loved the music too, fantastic work!

This was a very satisfying game to play! I loved the collectible sounds ramping up in pitch as you extended your combo, all the cute animations, and the galaxy of gems I would have orbiting around me. Well balanced difficulty, too. Great work!

ENJOYMENT++

This is a super cool combo of ideas! The art is fantastic and the game is very polished. For whatever reason, I somehow assumed I wasn't able to move in the platforming stage and was trying to rizz everyone via bluetooth for a good 30 seconds haha. Awesome mesh of mechanics, well done!

This is the first meatball-type game. It totally feels like something I could have played on the DS! The funky but haunting/surreal music was my jam, it reminded me a little of the Binding of Isaac music, but a little less dramatic. The difficulty ramped up nicely with the additions of walls organs etc. Would love top see this developed further! Especially if attached to some story, where the things you are taking out gradually reveal secrets about the meatballs and the world we're in. Amazing work!

Can't believe this chicken shoulder presses more than me, has more buck buck bucks than me, and spends more time in a microwave than me. This game is a total charmer! Lovely art, and I loved after spamming during the microwave minigame realising "wait, my overzealousness has locked me in this microwave for 10,000 years." Great work! Also, this chicken absolutely slays in a bikini.

Beautiful game! Loved the devastated faces on the once hard looking baseballs when their Gurren Lagaan glasses were thwacked off. Very satisfying game, great work!

Charming game! It was satisfying scooping up all the flies at the end at once with my patented spin move. The interactions with the dino were funny too. Great work!

In this game, Einstein discovered that L = Vicious Squash squared up. I went all-in on the Vicious Squash in the final round and as always, he squashed the competition. I would bet my kidney for the Vicious Squash.

Amazing idea and the art is soooo good! I loved the voice acting, too. This game is just oozing with character. Outstanding work!

Very cool idea full of character! Keeps you on your toes with all the different interactions, and the art is fantastic. Pretty sure the real Caesar was able to tank more stabbings though.

Thank you! There is a seat waiting for you in the double digit club. I definitely listen to the "doongs" more than I look at the charge bar to help judge how far I am gonna go.

The music makes me feel like I'm a car in the background of a vaporwave music video, I love it! Very satisfying hitting parries, the animations on the enemies are readable but still snappy. Great work!

What a great concept! You have managed to create a complex and challenging game with relatively simple controls to understand although difficult to execute. The opening animation was hilarious too haha. I got pretty far but somehow managed to get my key locked behind some girders I had pressed the button to open already and gave up.  Great work, no matter how much I managed to screw myself!

Awesome game! I love the writing on the God of Hands. I assume this is why being told to "talk to the hand" is such a devastating fate having met this guy. Super stylish in general, too. At first I thought this was a high score game and was worried that my awesome run wasn't gonna have a number tied to it to ascribe it meaning, but then I beat the game 😎

Great game with an impressive amount of content!  I really enjoyed speed running across those narrow girders which apparently were built up in the stratosphere without adherence to any OSHA regulations. Though I suppose if they were dipping into the void for power, I shouldn't be surprised. A testament to the controls that I could do that! It was some sweaty palms stuff. Also a couple of the trucks near the start of the game looked like creepers. Great work!

Dam, this game is just dripping with atmosphere. The art direction as a whole is off the charts, and the character model's design was such a unique choice but works ridiculously well. I love his slow strut animation where he looks like he's going to tell his boss he can't fire him, he quits. Fantastic game. SPOILERS: The first time the slime rolled by playing his portable piano got me pretty good. The best moment was when I could hear him behind me and I narrowly slipped into a gap just before he would have assimilated me. Loved the foreshadowing throughout too, especially the note on how to use fresh water and then it came up in the boss fight.

Very polished game with obvious attention to detail in little animations, the vignette and sounds to make for an immersive experience! You've built such a cohesive world here, I love the whole sewery, toxic vibe. Great work!

haha you're a legend for pushing  through. Ironically I never got very far through Jump King either lol. Thanks for playing and commenting!

Holy crap, stellar game guys. I loved Palpatine-ing the robots and the 8-bit Pokemon death noise of the flying guys. So many great mechanics, enemies, and just ideas you managed to squeeze in! Fantastic work.

There are definitely some things I want to do to give it more variety. I did have smaller and moving platforms at one point, but I took them out because it was hard to tell if smaller platforms were small or just far regular platforms haha.  Thanks for playing and the feedback!

This was heaps of fun! The sound effects mesh together so well and it is so satisfying to weave through enemy fire. I love how the sprites pop out of the environment, very readable which is hard to get right in bullet hell games. Great job!

Thank you! That's exactly the feeling I was hoping for.  I would definitely like to make something like a 3d Jump King! I have a few ideas to push this game a bit further, but it's also given me another similar idea about parkouring through a castle-type thing that I want to have a go with. Thanks again for playing and the feedback!

Haha thank you so much! Visible Jordans are a fantastic idea. There should just be a pair waiting for you at platform 100. You earned them.

I really enjoyed this! At first I thought it was a little too slidey, then I realised I could use my momentum from the front kick to turn and hit guys behind me. Then I was crowd surfing. I was addicted to finding new words in your combo counter. I got Godlike and then I won and I was like "nooo, I wasn't done playing vocabulary simulator!" Is there anything after Godlike? Great game, I also loved the splash art in game.

I love the music, you can't convince me it wasn't composed by frogs. The animations and character designs are gorgeous as well. It was a great idea being able to bank the power in an object to use it then take it away again. I did unfortunately get the bug where I didn't get the bug with my tongue stuck in the air trying to get the bug. Guess I needed an adapter. Beautiful game filled with great ideas! I really enjoyed it.

Jump King was definitely on my mind making this. I'd like to make falling more interesting and dramatic like in Jump King with maybe some potential for catching on a landmark of some sort. Thank you for playing and the feedback!

This is a hole in one, man. That's means really good, it's a basketball term. Seriously, what an amazing idea and executed so well. Going over the hill in level 2? Horror movie shit. I loved how the music turned peaceful again whenever you lined up a shot, what an excellent detail. No notes, well done.

This is awesome. I'm a sucker for punch-out type games and collect the things type games so this fired on every cylinder for me. Loved the sound effect hitting the boss like he's this big menacing mech but hitting him sounds like an empty trash can. I did have some trouble understanding the dodge timing, I must have been going too early on each one I think since they were pretty readable. Just spitballing but it might be cool if in a later version of the game when you're collecting stuff, there might be ways to mutate and upgrade your kaiju down different paths.

That's not how it happened, you felt like the sounds and gameplay perfectly intertwined ;). Thank you for playing and the feedback!

I've clearly been raised on too much Mario Kart because it took me longer than I'm willing to admit to stop intentionally going after boxes believing they had items in them. Once I shook that, I was flying! Love the cartoonish artwork, and the music and sound effects are dripping with character. Well done!

So polished I'm afraid it's a slipping hazard. Seriously impressive! I'm chuffed to hear you went back to my game too, thank you so much for playing!

Thank you so much for the comment and feedback! Welcome to the double digit club.
There is definitely slight air control at the moment, but I might have gotten a little too close to the game during development and set too little. I kept stripping more and more air control away like "nah, this is too easy" as if everyone playing has been developing this game for a week.
Totally agree on the respawning. I thought it was more dramatic this way but now I wish it was faster.

Whenever I got a giga combo and could wipe out every ninja on the screen, I would be  reminded of what my man Tupac once said, "no one man should have all that power." I feel like shift + parry is a little overpowered, but nonetheless, awesome game, my man. When I saw the theme, I instinctually thought "like the Kanye song" and you thought it too but harder. The Alex Jones interviews killed me. The Doom Kanye, the goatees on the hearts~ This shit cray.

I definitely have a lot to learn about 3D graphics haha, I tried to keep it minimalistic so I didn't have to texture/model too much. Thanks a lot for playing and your feedback!

Hahaha you deserve a spa day on leg day. I laughed at the visual of you celebrating off the edge. I will definitely consider adding some options like that post jam. Gratz on the score and thanks for playing and commenting!

(1 edit)

If this was an English class and my teacher pointed at me to explain the contrast because I made too much or too little eye contact, I would call it juxtaposition while being unable to explain the intended effect. It wasn't exactly planned, but it just sort of worked and I think the atmosphere helped to offset the frustration of the gameplay. Finding zen through punishment, monk-esque, if you will. Thank you for playing and commenting!

Damn dude, you must have at least two outlets because you somehow had an amazing idea and amazing execution at the same time. No notes, I think you know everything you would want to do with this game if you had more time. Phenomenal stuff. I got 22 and I'm pretty proud and I'm just hoping the guy who got 25 doesn't come back to this comment section to Gary Oak me.

Awesome graphics and stylish UI, running off the main screen to start was a cool idea! I'm impressed at the amount of content and polish you were able to put in. I thought the character at the bottom left with his face locked in place like he was the clown from It was funny.  I'd love some more feedback when attacks connect and power ups are picked up in a future iteration. Fantastic work!
