Sounds interesting and I think its well within the jam's theme. Looking forward to your submission! Good Luck!

I made a "tile corrupting" strategy-roguelike game for the jam based on an old idea I had. Most of the game came together very nicely. I struggled a bit with the "future-proof" rogue-like upgrade system and the overall balance of the game, which still needs a lot of work after the jam. Controlled randomness is hard people. :) I am very very proud of the result. Based on some feedback I received from this amazing community, I'm definitely going to develop it further into a full game.

Wow... what an experience, thank you for making it. It's very impressive that you made it with console only. I got used to the controls very quickly. It's a bit repetitive towards the end, yes, but it's understandable. I was in a similar situation where I had to choose between simplifying things or missing the deadline. :) If you spice up the endgame with a few more "side-quests" like you did with the water meter then I think you're set. But the game is already great. Well done!
PS: Loved the "PS-GJ24" planet name. :)
Very nice art, sound and music. Nailed the atmosphere! Couple of suggestions:
1. Increased brightness/gamma, or option for it: Too hard to see some of the beautiful art you created. :)
2. While the font of the letters/diaries fits the theme very well, it is kinda hard to read (maybe just for me). I'd try something a bit more readable (handwriting style fonts perhaps?).
3. Flashing the interact key near objects. I kept pressing E and F and took me a while to realize that SPACE is the interact key.
4. Map maybe? Just a crude one? I don't know, maybe I just have a terrible sense of direction. :D
Overall, this game is gonna be great, I am really excited to see where you take it from here. Good work!
Wow, this is amazing! Great graphics, sound effects and music! I like how you incorporated the theme. Unfortunately got stuck on one of the levels multiple times (light switch after a door with double stairs leading to the exit) due to the skelly getting stuck on stairs, not being able to jump up before the light turns off. With some small level design tweaks this is a 10/10. :)
Congratulations on your first jam game! Very charming and relaxing! Loved watching the little guys working and running around. The day-night cycle is a very nice detail too. A few things I noticed:
The text is bit hard to read especially on the "how to play" pages, because it uses very similar color to the background.
When I wanted to build something the game let me select it, showed me the possible locations and even let me try to place it, despite not having enough materials. An earlier feedback about this (graying out buildings, popup texts, etc.) would be a great improvement I think.
I encountered a funny bug where if I placed a miner on a root, the mole destroyed the root later, but the little guy kept mining thin air. :)
Overall this is a fun little management game. Good job!
Great example of how a simple game (not in a bad way) can keep you hooked. Loved the exploration, the mechanics, the little notes and the puzzles themselves of course. :) There are 2 small things I'd recommend:
1. The floor tiles blend a little bit too well with the walls and other non-walkable areas so it was hard to tell sometimes where I can or cannot go. A different color or maybe a darker shade would make it more "readable" I think.
2. When you finish a level, I'd add a little popup for a few seconds that says "Level 2" or "Floor 2" to provide feedback to the player that they are progressing and this is now another level.
But these are just small tweaks to an otherwise fun little puzzle game. Good job!
Learned a lot about working with Godot. Creating menus, settings pages and using the Resource feature. Also learned that I should not get too attached to ideas and features even if they seem super exciting and awesome. After some quick testing they might turn out to be detrimental to the game, better to be left out.
Congratulations on your first jam game! Glad you managed to submit it! (32 seconds before the deadline was cutting it a bit close huh? :)) The music was a tiny bit repetitive for my taste and as @sophiadoodles wrote, it was a bit unclear how many items are needed for the adults to follow. But these are not serious "issues" for this otherwise charming and fun little first game. :) Great job!
