I have never attempted loading myself, so maybe? My computer has been having some random issues too, so it may have been me.

It was the avoid checkpoints contract. One of the levels has a checkpoint about mid-way through that is in a tunnel that I at least could not jump over. The other contracts/level brought out the perfect level of panic to try and avoid things, which I do truly believe is just a skill issue on my part. I did have a fun time though, promise!

Nice game guys! We also made a tower defense game, but yours was much more advanced with everything going on. I was able to hold out pretty well, i did not see the voidcats becoming more plentiful or stronger at a certain point, so i decided to stop resisting to see what would happen. I really enjoyed the art and effects, you had some really nice sprites in there.

Some very cool mechanics here. I need to echo the frustration with the jump cool down. It feels like such a staple of movement it was jarring at first. I did get into a rhythm soon enough though, and exploring was fun. The game ran a little poorly for me, but that may be a me issue. All in all i enjoyed my time with it, thanks!

I really liked the contract system, but i got wrecked by it. I seemed to get stuck into corners where there was nothing to do but break contract. Might be a skill issue. The presentation and look of the game was spectacular, especially for a game jam's worth of time. Great job guys!

I had trouble feeling the sadness since the main game theme was so good! The hand drawn look was great and i enjoyed my time with it. The menu theme was the perfect amount of melancholy.

I agree with the other comment so far. That black hole effect is amazing. i didn't realize that the stuff coming out of the ships was void energy so i did not collect enough. Other than that, i had a great time. Thanks for making it!

Hey Niku, fun little game! I died in the last room in my first play through, but i was able to save the world on the second attempt. This was my first game jam as well, hope you enjoyed the process as much as i did.

Hey Dapqu,

I definitely agree with your feedback. The interface clipping issue was one we saw but didn't have time to learn how to fix. Enemy health was considered as well, along with a tower level indicator. Having actual stats about the upgrades would have been awesome too. Enemy waves i have seen in others, but we didn't even think to implement it this time. Really it all came down to time which i am gathering is kind of the point for game jams.

The main take away for us is that we had fun and learned so much so fast that it was definitely worth the investment. This was our teams first game with very little experience between us and we are pretty happy with the result.

Nice papers please inspired game. Would love to have a few more parameters to check and a few tricky documents. Great first submission!

Ah, i thought it was easier to jump over the monsters with the minion. Once i figured out the level rotate ability though, jumping seemed less important since i could kind of fly. Congrats on your first game jam! It is my first as well, it is so cool to see how different all the games are so far.

Controls are smooth, and the look is cool. Wish i had a few goals to work towards. Something like collectables or score targets.

The art and sounds are superb. I found it a bit difficult to manage all of the key presses at times, especially throwing items into the well. Fun game!

43 seconds! The cinderblock section got me the first time. Those jumps are rough. Great game, it was really fun!

I enjoyed your game! I did not quite grasp the purpose of the minion character as the mage had all the cool powers. Your art was the best part, it all looked and animated great.
