<3 Please share if you end up using any of my tools :) I would love to see where they get used!

Hey everyone!

I’ve been working on a few open source tools for Godot that I thought might be useful for UI work and general game development. They’re all free to use, and I’d love for you to check them out and let me know what you think! Below are brief descriptions of each tool, along with links to their respective pages:

KeyDisplay

The KeyDisplay tool makes it easy to render keyboard keys inside the UI. It supports both regular and special keys, with customizable textures, sizes, and pressed states. Perfect for adding keyboard prompts or displaying keys in your game’s interface.

AnimatedTextureRect

This tool allows you to easily create and animate spritesheets inside the UI using AnimatedTextureRect. You can set up your spritesheets with horizontal and vertical frames, and use the Godot AnimationPlayer to bring your UI elements to life.

TextParticleEmitter

The TextParticleEmitter tool lets you render dynamic text as particles using Godot’s GPUParticles2D. You can create cool text effects like explosions, one-up effects, or even custom particle systems based on your needs. It’s a fun way to add dynamic text-based effects to your games.

I’m also working on more tools and improvements, so stay tuned for future releases! If you want to stay updated, make sure to follow me on itch.io for the latest updates and new tools.

Thanks for checking out my tools, and feel free to leave feedback!

Very cool and original idea!

The atmosphere for this game is fantastic! Amazingly polished.

Thanks for your feedback!! I will work on improving the game and adding more levels in the future :)

I really liked the concept!

I loved the concept! Awesome the menu is really cool!

Really cool and fun game!

Very cute music and art style! Also the puzzles are really well done. The latching mechanic is really clever

I wish the character was a little easier to control, specially when double jumping

This was really fun to play! The atmosphere is creepy lol.

Very cool that you also added character customization

Thanks! I would love to hear where you got stuck so I can fix it in a future update :)

Thanks <3

Thanks for the pack! I loved the style and fitted really well my game jam game

This asset pack is awesome! I used some of your tiles for my game jam game! :)

That makes sense! I actually made it so you could use the arrow keys and shift + z + x but never add it to the tutorial. With those keys it might be easier for you to control the game :)

Congrats on getting your first jam game through!!

In my game I used Q to shrink and E to grow larger. I thought they were good options since its close to the WASD keys. Shift can be another good option

Very good game! I loved the idea and concept, very original.

Got a roomba screamer btw, jumped off the chair lol

<3

Glad you liked it!

I will explore the dash-jump mechanic and add more levels for sure!

“This is the door, it’s just a door” gotta be the best joke of the jam lol.

I really liked the concept for your game! For some reason I couldn’t get it to work on the web version.

But from the screenshots and description I see its a really cool and original concept!

Very fun game! A little hard to control sometimes but I found the mechanics really interesting and unique. Great job!

Thanks for your feedback! <3

Really awesome concept, and it’s impressively polished for just 96 hours!

The UI got a little cut off on my screen.

Thanks <3

Thank you for your comment!

This game looks amazing! I really liked the idea of changing from the human character to the mouse, very original!

I felt like the sound was a little too low, plus I would’ve loved to have some mysterious music in the background.

Thanks! I would love to hear what felt difficult so I can fix it in a future update!

Woah I loved the art direction of your game! I felt like the X key wasn’t the best choice for shrinking as I felt like it was hard to press when I was controlling the character.

Thank you!! I will take your feedback for future updates for sure ;)

Nice game! I loved the style and the boat felt really good to control.

I believe I was missing some tutorial because I felt a little lost on how to do stuff.

Also the sharks felt a little buggy and hard.

Thanks for your comment <3

I understand the box pushing speed is actually a bug that happens on the web version of the game. I will try to fix it on a future update!

I’m happy to hear you liked the concept and mechanics :)

I liked this game! I would like to know how you got so much done in just 96 hours lol.

It was weird to me that placing things didn’t follow the grid.

Thanks for your comment! I’m glad you liked the art direction and player movement, I focused a lot on those :)

I intended to add some more things to the levels but I didn’t have the time sadly.

I will continue working on updating the game though!

Very cute game and clever concept! I liked the tetris-style blocks. Its amazing how you got to make so many levels in such a little amount of time.

My only criticism is that the player movement felt a little too slow sometimes.

This was an awesome game! The main mechanic was really original and fun and the puzzles challenging enough. I found the dialogs really funny!

Thank you so much for your comment! :) I noticed a lot of comments regarding the issue with the boxes. I will work on fixing in on a future update <3

Really fun game! Surprising how much you got done in less than 96 hours.

The art for this game was really cute. I found it hard to control the fish sometimes but the game is really fun and the music is calming!

I felt sad for the fishes I had to kill though :( haha

Thanks for your comments! I’m glad you liked it :)
