Really good idea! It made for some really cool platforming and its really fun overall just to burn stuff, jump really high and all that, plus the music and art that made the experience really enjoyable. This was a lot of fun!
The only thing that bothered me a bit was how long it takes to restart once you die(since I did that a lot because im not that great at video games haha) but I think thats just a small thing and doesn't take away from the overall game.

Such an excellent game! Something you could do more with is the use of bullet-type powerups that you introduced in one of the levels. Used in boss fights it could add some complexity if you're not just trying to dodge bullets but also collect enough powerups. Imagine trying to build up heat during the boss fight, but also avoid your larger frame getting hit as you do so. That could create some interesting challenges.

I really like the ideas you presented for adding the powerups into the boss fight, that's something I tried for a bit but had a bit of difficulty adding it in a way that it didn't soft lock the player. But with a bit more time I think it's something I'd love to add into the game. The feedback is much appreciated. :)
Like the way the puzzles were set out with the abilities., not too simple nor hard. Same with the boss battle, 3rd phase caught me off guard :p

I just finished the game and the boss fight was intense! Really fun mechanics and there were so many different ways to get cold or hot state which I liked. Animations were great and I loved the music. It was really fun to play, great job!

Although the tileset seems out of resolution(the cracks in the wall seem too small) The mechanics were well-thought-out, and I love the adorable character design.

Well done game with a really interesting set of powers. Stuck on the boss. The tiny "cold state" bullet hell at the end is a real jump-up in difficulty.

Great unique take. The expansion and contraction mechanic has been rare and is a clever one. I would say your screen resolution is super large and means I canno see everything on the screen. Some of the foreground doesn't have much texture, so maybe a tilemap would have worked well there

Hello! Loved the logic behind metal expanding and shrinking! My heart was raising in the final boss because I thought I'd restart the whole battle if I died! But then I died and only had to replay the element in the battle and I was relieved! Had a blast! Thank you!

Maybe giving the character health would be a good fix!
Good job on the game, it was fun to play. I like the changing character mechanic, makes for some interesting puzzles. The art is well made I like the various creatures, projectiles and the main character, but I would change the pixellated background. I think it does not fit with the style of the rest of the game. Also props for the music and sounds, I think they fit the game really well!
