Very chill game and music!
Is there a way to actually stop the impacts? Even with upgrades it didn't feel like I was making visible progress.

Developer

The shield generators will absorb impacts as long as they have at least one charge remaining, though they are vulnerable to direct hits.

pretty interestiing

Missile command!

Shortly after the level started, it would *rain* down so many missiles... I couldn't possibly hit them all. Is it supposed to be like that?

Developer

Yes, early on the focus should just be on surviving as long as possible and taking out satellites for points to buy upgrades so that you can eventually survive the onslaught and start progressing levels. I suppose that could be indicated better.

Great game! I really love the concept and the overall mood.

Awesome take on the theme! I use to play missile command a lot as a kid, thanks for the memories! - I enjoyed your twist with the upgrades. The art was incredible and the music was fitting. My only feedback is to reduce the amount of rays attacking, at least at the begging of the game.

Really cool game! I love the chilled music, and the concept is awesome!

very nice Concept! Simple but fitting art. I liked the idea that you Must Upgrade your Tower. Also you nailed the theme and its so cool that its a Radio Tower!

The music was very nice as well! Well Done!!

Easy to start with. I like the upgrade and the pacing. Not so long but not so quick. Nice

This reminds me a lot of missile command which I played a lot as a kid! The art style is simple and appropriate, and I appreciate all the different color palettes available. I like the upgrading aspect of the game too, it makes the game pretty engaging!

The concept is very nice, and the fact that we can do upgrades encourages well to play it over and over

I never have thought a tower can be a radio tower. Nice!

This game took a unique spin on the theme tower which I enjoyed, the progression and how you build up upgrades to get further is nice, I had lots of fun with this submission good job!

Very reminiscent of Missile Command. The initial wave being so intense was a bit of a shock. But as others have stated the leveling up and getting better was a nice touch.

It is really original that it is about Radio tower and not anout like tower in castle like most games on this jam do. The sprite of tower is well designed and turning animation is really smooth. The mechanic is really creative and upgrade system makes this game more interesting. It look like I have to give 5 stars in every category, good luck! I hope you win

At first I was like "Wow this is really hard", but then I noticed you can upgrade your tower, add shields, etc. This sense of progression makes for a very addicting game. The music fit very well and I appreciated the chill vibes. This is the kind of game I'd go back to play again, but probably using the native build for better performance (Thank you for including a linux build <3). Great entry!

Very fun game, I was definitely hooked enough to finish it, despite the laggy browser build.

I wonder if there were changes you could have made to improve performance like object pooling.

I liked the "you can't win until you buy upgrades" idea. Made me aim for satellites knowing I would fail just to get more points.

Nice Job!

Developer

Thanks so much for the kind feedback! I spent a day trying to track the performance issue down with no success. If you don't mind me asking, what browser are you using? From my limited testing the problem appears in Firefox but Chromium-based browsers seemed to work fine.

Submitted

I was using chrome, so unless lag in Firefox was way worse, it happens there too.

Did you do any object pooling? Or is everything being spawned in Realtime? That could definitely cause some lag, but not sure

It was quite a bit of fun! I maxed out everything and then kept trying to beat my high score. I though it had a great feeling progression system. You really noticed a difference with each upgrade.

Great job!

I think the meteor spawns are a bit too fast for my taste. I just destroy as many meteors as I can before the inevitable. I like that you can change the color on the options, its a nice touch!

I really liked your take on the Tower Theme! The art is outstanding and the gameplay was really fun! Great Work!
