Well its great to share your hobbies with friends!

Oh and we love web builds 😅 my game fell apart when i tried the html5 version 🥲

if it works, it works! lolz

I'm so glad you loved it so much!!! :D
Yeah definitely needs to have the bugs ironed out lol. Although pressing R would reset your character... so kinda still works lol.
But thank you so much for the positive feedback! :D

I've fixed the bug in the code that crashes after night 1. I hope you'd be alright to try again to see the other enemy type, the shadow person

Tis a bit hard, especially when the mouse cursor is invisible 😅 but it is still a good project! nasty bugs...

Wow that's actually quite a developed fun lil game 😅 A reasonable variety of enemies, and the switching between different moon fazes is a real cool mechanic! Love the music, and the pixel art was awesome!

Did notice a bug that if you run to the left you fall into the map, but then do respawn, so good job for catching that one lol!

Cute lil project! The next round button was a lil ambiguous, but the game was just like a classic clicker!

EDIT: I JUST REALIZED MY SOUND HAD BEEN MUTED! 😢 That music was a banger 😎, pitty it didn't repeat...

Its great to hear you had fun and loved the audio so much!! The clock chime is actually a recording  I made of our towns clock tower lol!

And yes, the tutorial and explanation of controls was definitely... lacking.. I had hoped to add little popup suggestions on how to interact, but I didn't make it to the polishing stage. 😅

Did you work out that you could throw the burning stick?

If you'd like to, you could try the windows version, the HTML5 export is having all these random problems, unfortunately

oh dear... and that was on the web version i assume?

What a cute lil game! And great job for managing to do the programming too! Of course the art gets 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I DID IT!! Scored 55 too :D Very pretty art by the way

Yeah, I should have made it more intuitive. But I'm glad you had fun! What night did you reach?

If anyone is curious abt the strange answers, I had literally 45 seconds remaining 😅.

Thank you! Sorry I didn't have it on linux, I could probably get a virtual machine and then export to linux, if you'd still like to try the game?

Thank you!!

And thats awsome work!! Im so glad you played the game long engough to get to max depth and that amount of storage! :)

Yes, the tnt aiming system could have done with improvement. As you go deeper the amount of gold and then diamond increases.

I totally understand not enhough testing time :)

And thank you for taking my feedback constructively! I hope you en joy my game :)

I played the web version, however for some reason i clicked the same first stone the secound time and it killed samuel? Anywho, good story (I don't have any thing of that sort) and quite great sound design!

Thank you for your feedback!

I wasn't able to balance the game fully with game testers, and so the partically useless move section could have been flagged during that.

I think the idea dehind it was that you could run away from the dynamite if you placed it at your feet?

Also, what was the best ore you reached? :)

The art of the plannet was rather cute.

However, it took me like failed 5 attempts to get any of the villages to level 1, and  by that stage the others were already wiped out :( One way to help this could be, instead of levels, after a bar stays in the green for x amount of time, tha particular thign will become managed.

I felt that at times the meterorites could feel unfair, as you'd put the shield up, but it would miss it and still kill the village anyway, this is probably smth about the blast radius on impact of the meterioite?

The deleting the rainclouds wasn't particulrly intuitave, maybe some other, more obivous and explained way could be added?

The pickaxe implementation.... ehhh.... i spose

A new player friendly addition you could make, is that behind the scenes the villages arent as prone to water at the beginning, and meterioites don't spawn yet. But as you progress, maybe just in time, cause the others to come into effect, so you can more slowly introduce all the mechanics to the player.

I hope you were able to read this in a constructive way :)

Uhm... Well the enemies were already in a loop... And didnt seem to die... nor could they attack me.

I couldn't see any pickaxe...

And the display was squashed along the x-axis.

My suggestions would be to fix the enemies, give the player a health bar, and the enemies a health bar, and a big one for gamejams, try make the game mechanics first. The core game mechanics come before you design the levels. :)

I hop you can make more fruitful games for future jams!

The toweres did nothing, cost nothing, and the enemies did nothing after reaching the end. I feel like this was a project that didn't get finished. I couldn't find much of a game loop, you just 'build' the towers and then 🤷‍♂️.

I also didn't see a pickaxe? Nor any loop beyond the waves?

I'm sorry you were unable to complete your jam entry...

I would play the game, but that 1,001mb downlaod was a bit much sorry...

Thank you for apreciating me :)

And yes, i totally understand not prioritizing the music. Mine is just a measly 16 secound loop lol. Focusing on the gameplay is just a tad more important. :)

Yes i think your core mechanic/concept was real good!

and yooo 23 is pretty good :O 'appy days :)

I'm glad you liked the theme implentation!

And yes, the getting back up to the top is a mission in itself... Just as a note, it shouldn't be using the jump uses (10 movement uses) when climbing a ladder it should only use 1, and i could look at adding the ability to jump off a ladder propely?

Thank you for your feedback! :)

That's kinda smart... 😅

Very lovely looking game!

The waves do get a bit out of hand 😅 but that could just be my poor skills 💀.

Great Work!

Wow! That kept me on the edge of my seat 😅 A Truely engaging game

I took 9 attempts.

I think an improvemt could be sound effects? and maybe music ontop of the beat??

Other than that, GREAT GAME!

It was a tad boring..... i know it starts slow, but it stays real slow for a while. Now it may have been my poor upgrade choice, but i just felt a bit mindless holding down x... although i guess that is the point of the game...

The Ui did look rather pretty though.

Looping forever more

(I did max everything out in the end, and yes it was fast then....)

Also it took me a bit to work out your upgrade value system lol

:))))

Quite a tricky one 😅.

But very interesting puzzel like concept, i like it!

Maybe have the what you need to break closer to what you are breaking though 😅.

I like the interesting theme implementation and the pickaxe is there indeed!

The sound effects are also rather cute!

My measly high score of: 23.

It was quite a good game loop actually!

Sadly the music cutout part way through :(

It was also a bit awkward to aim with the players direction using WASD and then mine with space... i would suggest point the player towards the mouse and left click destroies the block if in range.

The sound was pretty good and you almost hyptnotised me with the swirling ballls 😅

My score was 530 :)

I managed to fall off the side at one point...

I also could have used an indicator showing me how much i needed for the next upgrade. And were the diffrent material picakxes meant for diffrent ores or just better.

But overall a cute game, great music, great particles (However the screenshake for the rubies was a biiiiit much 😅) I think was a lovely lil game :)

I don't like that I have to kill the poor kitties... It's also a bit weird that the player is also a cat. Missed an oppertunity by having 9 lives... 😉

It feels a bit too repetitive, and the cats are in the same locations and there are the same number of them. But yes.... that is a loop.

Also I don't quite feel you had a pickaxe... that item was a sledge hammer... I also didnt quite understand the pointing where the mouse is part, seemed a bit weird... and didn't quite understand what it added to the game...

But OH MY the cat animations were really cute!

The music was also quite lovely and playful too.

For some reason i could not kill the green blob with my pickaxe.

The implementation of the pickaxe also did feel  a bit.... 'Quick! I need a pickaxe'. But yes, you had a pickaxe.

I didn't quite understand the looping aspect of the game, other than that you play the same part multipule times.

However music did loop, so that is on par with the theme.

Over all nice and simple game! I got to a high score of 72 :D

Music is a vibe :)

It didn't seem to load after pressing play. It took a while to load into the menu too. I left it running in the background to see if it would chage over about 5 minutes, however it was still pure white :(

It gave me this error:
