- I enjoy the graphics as a whole. the gameplay is fun, but I would enjoy it even more if there was more variation in the attack. so 2 or 3 alternatives would be even nicer.

Rising Umbra is a wave based, top down shooter where an eclipse has transformed all living things into shadows that can be destroyed by light. Including you. Fight up to 50 waves and defeat shadows using light, and a range of 45 unique items, all while making sure you don't destroy yourself!
Extra Notes
game may break on Firefox. Though it should work fine on a chromium browser.
Also there's some weird bug where the game only shows around 20 items instead of 45. Should be fixed after the jam though.

I got stuck in the wall at the bottom of the screen, the screen turned red and then was murdered somehow. Animation and art are on point. Very well polished, Great work!
First time in this jam the presentation floored me! It's absolutely amazing. The action feels impactful, and the eye thing is a brilliant design. Could use more arena variety and the card upgrades feel a bit underwhelming, but for how much content there is it's not much of a complaint. Terrific job!
This has the art direction of an already finished indie game! The intro looked good, but the in-game animations look even better. The movement is smooth, the shooting works well. The only thing I would add is items that feel more like you're getting something else than just stat changes (maybe you did, I killed myself before reaching wave 50). With some more stages and a tiny bit of polish, you could publish this really soon :)
Okay wow, the animation and style of this game is off the damn charts. The little opening movie, the game-over screen the character and enemy animations are all brilliant and the lighting effects are just the cherry on top.
I loved running around the little arena, the enemies weren't that much of a hassle honestly I'm more of my own worst enemy constantly killing myself with my own light is a really interesting balancing mechanic for sure.
The perks/cards are honestly really brutal and game changing it would have been nice to have some that weren't so severe or such extreme positive/negatives so I could improve myself without feeling like I was totally crippling myself in other ways.
The game is really well polished and fun and the little dude is super cute.

Cool game! The animations were clean and I loved the way that the eye was presented.
This was fun.
I like the main menu screen where the eye follows the mouse.
Not sure if this is intended but I worked out pretty quickly you can stall on the card select screen to regen to full health before the next wave
This was great. The animations are all S-tier. It’s just a straight up fun game.
