I forgot, but in addition, the limitation is well implemented and the concept is pretty funny even though there is not much connection with the heat but it's optional so that's okay.

Hey! Impressive kind of game for such a short amount of time, the map is really well done, the graphics are beautiful and the difficulty is set to the perfect level which made me play for about 20m, a lot for a gamejam's game.
Here's what I noted that could be improved:
- Some soldiers T-pose and I can walk through bullets and soldiers with no lights.
- The music stop after a bit and there are no SFX which made me lost the immersivity.
- Sometimes when I stop my character has an epileptic seizure.
- We can still walk when we lose and so continue the game.
- The objective is kind of unclear and I don't understand the purpose of the pieces as well as the meat icon at the top left.
- I didn't really felt like I had won when I won since it is the same sprite as when we lose.
- Some lights are a bit hard to see especially the one after the flashing car.
- Maybe adding some side interests like picking the gun on the barrel or going outside with the other zombie could have been funny.
- Reward the exploration and add verticality, like accessing the stairs of the big turret around the center of the map.
It is one of the most ambitious game I've played for a 3 days jam and you've really well done everything visually, but it could go further!
Have a nice day!
Wow! Thanks for reuploading it, it is awesome! No way you made the game in Scratch, it is absolutely fantastic, the humor is particularly great as well as the music and the gameplay which is short but hard enough! I don't have anything to tell you except the fact that it is kind of weird when a meteor stops in place, maybe you could change its texture so we understand it's no longer moving. Nevertheless, really liked that game for something made in Scratch, it has a nice personnality!
Have a nice day!
Yep, probably one of the biggest game of the jam, sad it is not that much reviewed! It was really cool and it unfortunately lack things that could have made it pretty much perfect.
My advice:
- Please find someone for the sound part of the game it would give so much more immersivity and since the game's visual is already awesome it is such an important part for feeling that kill streak vibe!
- You could have added the possibility to shoot under and up the character but since the levels are mostly horizontals that's not that much of an issue.
- Is the stealth mode not working? Because I was getting absolutely railed when I used it 😂.
- The menu's colors are a bit monochrome and not very lively, this could be enhanced.
- Some visual feedbacks like a screen shake when we make a kill or die would have also added to the immersivity.
- Lastly, the timer before starting ( when we're idle ) could be reduced from 5 to 3 seconds but that's only my personal opinion tho.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for the review, I missed it at first 😅. Effectively the browser version was a bit broken, thanks for being among the first to to point it out to us. It would mean the world to us if you could try the downloadable version instead, it was the first one we did and I think that it was a bad idea trying to also make a browser one.
I liked that game! I think it was a cool little first project.
What I would advise:
- Try to make a menu with instructions, even if it is pretty straigth forward it is always cool! ( This video is really good for that: https://youtu.be/1_OFJLyqlXI )
- Enhance the difficulty and the level design, it was a bit easy, I know that difficulty can be subjective but I would just complete one of the puzzle and it would be stuck in the end case so I could do the other one without really impacting the first.
- Some sound effects as well as visual feedback such as screen shake, even if they are borrowed or cheap could add to the immersivity.
- Only needing to press a input once, I don't think it is particularly necessary to press 2 times one input to move.
Have a nice day!
At first I wasn't able to launch the game, I would get an error and my antivirus would block the game. After trying 3 times it loaded so you might want to try to fix that.
What I would advise:
- Try to make a fullscreen video game, it is always more immersive.
- Make clearer informations on what we must do, I was often lost.
- Make a menu so we can navigate through levels and understand the architecture and the order of what we need to do.
- There were a lot of good ideas, especially the plot which sounded cool. However it is a bit too blurry to understand and match the game.
- You should mention the controls of the game, I figured out that the limitation's button was "Space" but it would have been better if it was written somewhere.
- Sometimes, I get stuck in a corner or in one of the border's line, so a reset level button could be useful.
There is a lot of potential, you just need to put it together I think!
Have a nice day!
Hey! This is a cool and simple game, I particularly liked the music.
What I would advise:
- Check the items hitbox properties because I often had troubles picking them when they were a bit too up.
- Adjust UI size so it is more readable.
- Put the game in fullscreen as soon as we launch it for better immersion.
That's it! Have a good day!
You may want to reupload the files by being sure that the game is included as an application among them. There seem to be a lot of assets in the game and it's kind of sad that you put all these efforts if we can't even test and review the game.
Can you reply to this post when you update the game? Thanks, have a nice day.
Wow! You really mixed well the different elements of the game including several styles. I love the audio ambiance and the simplicity of the game, no much reading, it is intuitive and well executed! You maybe could have increased the difficulty a bit but it's fine! I stopped around 600m.
Have a nice day!
Well, that was a good looking little game! I particularly liked the simple audio which fit really well the game as well as how cool and simple it is, you nailed that aspect! The only thing that kind of bothered me is the lack of a dedicated button to reset the ice cream, a combination of inputs is a bit too heavy for such a relaxing game :'D
Hilarious game! All I would advise is to try to fix the textures being a bit blurry and uneven. For example the gun is well detailled wheareas most of the other textures are drawn in a bit simpler way. The game was hard enough, maybe a bit too much, and lowering the fire spawn rate or proposing different difficulty rates could be a good option.
Have a nice day!
Did you try the web or the executable version ? We're working with Godot and we're not very experimented so exporting to the web was a bit difficult and did not go 100% well. The executable version should be difficult enough if you mind trying again. Nevertheless, thanks for taking the time of testing and reviewing it ! :D
Well, I tested the executable version... And that was a pretty impressive example of dedication for such a short game jam! It is an amazingly ambitious game that deserves a lot of attention.
What I would advise:
- Set the jump height to be a lot higher, so we can jump over fences.
- Add some kind of transition screens between levels.
- Increase the camera turning speed.
- Most importantly, even though you must be focusing mostly on the code aspect of game development, maybe try to make everything yourself and lower the scale of the project. There was a lot of great ideas but knowing that so much was borrowed from many different websites made me feel like the game was a bit messy in its scenario, even though this gives it a hilarious aspect! Especially the kick to open the door which felt really good!
You put that well together, have a nice day!
Funny game even though it's more of a simulation than a game but it at least has a future in gambling machines! Jokes aside, I liked it, it was short and respected well the limitation. My only advise would be to ensure that one of the ball will enter the cup fastly enough on the next stage because it took like 4m for me.
Have a nice day!
I really liked the concept but too me it was kind of hard at first to maneuver the drill. I think that the strength of the A and D input is a bit too much and I couldn't stop spinning. Nevertheless after getting a bit more used to it, it was really fun to dig down and to hunt gold ! ( And what the hell is the thing running after us lmao? )
Great game, have a nice day!
Hi! That was a cool little game, I especially liked the audio environment as well as the introduction. I however had some troubles understanding that we need to press space to change the star color and release it on the good color but that's all my bad I guess. You really well implemented the limitation and the concept was nice! Have a great day.
Hey! I loved the idea and I'd like to give a few advices. I firstly think that it would have been great to have some kind of an ability that matches with the limitation like a grappling hook that increase the temperature! I wasn't able to finish the game, maybe I was too bad or is it set to be endless ? Nevertheless, it was pretty fun and well presented but I would have loved a lot of juicing in such a game, if you want this video explains well juicing with godot: https://youtu.be/_qxl7CalhDM
Lastly, it would've also been cool to have some 3D aspect, like a collision for the boat and a Y sorting implemented.Have a great day, and it would mean a lot it if you could check out "Water The Kids!" the game I made with coldrebirth!
Hey, thanks for your feedback! The truth about the dash is that the value we set for the speed while you are doing it is so low that it looks like you're just walking slowly in a direction without hitting any key 😂. Anyway, the game seems fun with its infinite scalability so thanks and have a nice day!
Hey! We're very happy that Guardener suited so many people including you, we gave our heart and soul to make as much pieces of it we could in those 48h as well as learning Godot. Such feedbacks really help us out and we must thank you. After those 5 days we absolutely know what to fix and we will be doing it as soon as we got some free time!
Thank you so much for your advice! We effectively had some issues with godot UIs and export since we did it 5 minutes before the end 😅 but everything about the upgrades should be working on the web, even though the windows build seems not to. We can only thank you for taking the time to download it and test it, thanks for the feedback and have a great day!
