Sorry you didn't have time to finish, I'd be curious to see what this looks like when completed.    Running around on the face of the cube with a bunch of enemies chasing you reminds me of that one level in Psychonauts

Developer

Thank you for Playing! yeah I will try completing it and share the update after jam! I will definitely take a look at Psychonauts. I like its art style!

Unfinished, but it's surprisingly fun to  play with already :)
The gif you posted reminds me of the arcade classic Motos, which was always my favorite Namco game.

Hey! Thanks for review! I've never heard about the game you mentioned before but I found it very interesting game! that pushing mechanics! xD

Hey ya! It seems we had similar ideas! Really liked the models and the dice movement in your game! Did you plan on making it more of a hack and slash experience or a shooter?

Developer

Haha! yes! we indeed have similar ideas! :D
I'm planning to make it more like hack and slash than a shooter. there could be shooting weapon but my main focus is actually "Blocking and Pushing" mechanics

Too bad you didn't have time to finish the game, but it has brutal potential! I hope to be able to play when the Jam happens, because I really liked the idea and the aesthetics is great.

Developer

Thank you for your kind words! yeah it would be awesome if I had time to finish it. (I just simply joined the game jam too late and only had little time to work on it)  I will keep working on it to finish this! :)

The mobs were cute. But it gets too difficult to move once you get crowded with the little guys hehe

I hope you get to finish the game! Looking forward to the full version ^^

Developer

Thanks! I will try my best to finish it!

I like the little guys they're quite cute. Seems like it'll be pretty fun when you get the time to fix it up!

Developer

Thank you! yeah I will put some time to finish it later!

I got burried by monsters and couldn't jump. I'm guessing that's where I should die? And is the goal just to survive? Or would you also have to perform some tasks?

Developer (2 edits)

I initially planned to make an ability to push monsters out of the dice surface. and it is game over when you are pushed to the ground.
the goal would be surviving until you get to the chest.  so yeah It is pretty much unfinished game yet xD

The dice changing face based on the players position is an interesting mechanic. Sad that you could finish it, but it was still really neat!

Developer

Thank you! I'm planning to work further after jam :)

Pretty neat so far! Definitely a great base for whatever you have planned! Cant wait to see it completed!

Developer

Thanks! I will definitely build further to make it sort of finished game ;)

Rogue DIES on the DICE is a casual rogue-like game which player tries to survive on the dice from the randomly generated enemy per each roll. Made for GMTK JAM.

This game is my first game jam project and I was not able to finish it as I didn't have enough time. (I started way too late in the weekend) I will try finish it after the game jam as I want it to be finished game. I'm just uploading it to participate the game jam for the first time.  Currently nothing much you can do with it though, please give it a shot if you want :)
