Great concept. The controls felt a little stiff, but other than that I had a great time re-enacting the scenes one actor/prop at a time :)

The art is beautiful. I also like the balance of the game considering the hands aren't unfairly unavoidable, but not repetitive and boring either.

Great job :)

Brilliant! I definitely think this should at least make the top 100. Considering the game was nearly perfect, I hope you don't mind if I nitpick a couple of things.

I feel as though the hitbox was a bit unforgiving when the ball was above the pin. It seems the hitbox encapsulates the entire pin or at least most of it as opposed to, say, the bottom 10% or so. I think the latter would feel more appropriate given the 2.5D style. It would also lead to more satisfying dodges.

Another tiny thing was that there were multiple occasions where bowling balls were obscured by the score. Perhaps you could make the score slightly translucent, at least when a ball is behind it?

Overall, this is a 5/5

Excellent game.  The art is very nice and the gameplay feels smooth and polished. The idea of assisting the hero by having (rapidly decreasing) control over his surroundings is a great interpretation of the theme.

Well done :)

A very well designed and polished platformer. The puzzles were cleverly built and kept expanding on the idea in interesting ways. The art style and overall presentation was great too. I'd love to see this made into a full game.

Well done :)

Thank you so much :)

Thanks! I spent quite a bit of time tweaking the physics and I'm happy with how it turned out. I loved your game and am rooting for it to make the top 100 :)

Wake up honey, new chess lore just dropped 👀

(1 edit)

I love chess, and I especially love interesting variations of the classic game. I've always thought more games should use the rules of chess to create engaging puzzle mechanics, and that is exactly what you've done.

Great job :)

Thank you, I'm glad you appreciated that because we did want to encourage active play :)

great idea and well executed. With some more polish, this would be a fun and interesting twist on the arcade classic.

One of the best I've played. I played about a half dozen runs and managed to get a score of 38 as my best. You did a great job on making the minigames and gameplay in general intuitive and clear. The art style is amazing as well.

Very well done :)

Great execution of this concept. The style of this game was really nice too.

Well done, guys :)

Nicely tuned and fun game. The art is great too. With some polish, this could be a really fun idea to expand on.

Great job :)

Thanks so much! I like your idea, and we may potentially continue working on the game after the jam :)

The comedic timing when you win the first game, the music stops, and it cuts back to a deadpan little bro was impeccable.

Trying to figure out how to lose was pretty interesting as well, a nice twist on tic-tac-toe.

Great job :)

My favorite so far! The art and overall presentation is amazing and the gameplay is fun and interesting. The only obvious improvements I saw that could be made is making it more clear where you can and cannot place cards, as well as the ability to move a card after you've placed it.

I made it to floor 14 on my first attempt.

Great job :)

Much appreciated :D

Thanks so much <3

Thanks so much! Couldn't have done it without help from my talented friends :)

Really cool spin on the idea for a neat platformer. I like the art style too, reminded me of N++.

Cool game design, it was quite enjoyable to play. :)

A clever way to adhere to the theme. I like the simplicity of the game and it was fun to play. Great job all around.

Very good entry. I would have appreciated a mouse sensitivity option, but other than that I finished it and it was a lot of fun to play. :)

Thanks so much for the feedback! It was a bit difficult for us to think of an idea, so we just went with the dogs and tennis balls going out of control to adhere to the theme interpreted as an idiom.

This was really fun to play. It reminded me of when I used to play rocket jump maps in TF2. I wish the rockets moved a little bit faster, as I often found that they couldn't keep up with my momentum when I tried to pogo jump across the floor. Excellent job, one of the most fun games I've played this jam!

I was surprised by how many stages there were, and each one was more fun. The music fit the game well. Very well done overall.

I'm really glad you liked it! I love the chunky dog too. There are currently six different dog types and possibly more coming in the post-jam version ;)

Very original idea and the art is fantastic. Well done!

:D <3

It worked quite well and I like the idea. I wish the pace was slightly faster (faster turning and moving for the dogs and sheep), but that's nit-picky. Very good entry overall :)

Simple concept and it was executed well, I liked it. My only recommendation would be to use something other than RCTRL as I frequently triggered keyboard shortcuts. Then again, this would only be a problem in browser. Other than that, well done.

Love the humorous twist on a classic saying. The concept was executed perfectly and the achievements cracked me up XD

Thanks! The art turned out great thanks to chiploop :)

Thanks! I've actually been working on the game after the jam and have added a score system. Sorry to hear it crashed, the version pushed out minutes before the deadline is slightly buggy lol.

Appreciate it!

Well done! Thanks for playing :)

Much love <3

Thanks! We had a great musician, check him out :)
