How does your game fit the theme?
Our game plays with the "Out of Control" theme by giving the player complete control over a menial task, with no control over the wider environmental chaos. As the player rearranges and paints chairs, the ship is going down, and there is no way to stop it!

What a fun, silly game. I really like the concept behind this game, I think it was really fun and interesting. I just kept placing chairs until it started to lag my computer down to 5-10 fps then I just started coloring them until the titanic sunk. Really fun, silly game. The length of the game was good to make sure the novelty didn't wear off too soon. Well done :)

Thanks so much! :)

Quite funny. Though, those people would have a hard time escaping with the hundreds of deck chairs I placed.

Developer

Yes, I'd imagine that would be quite an obstacle. Thanks!

That iceberg ruined my career! This is the funniest submission that I've played! I loved the constant achievements, promotions, and praise being thrust upon me while things were going very wrong. I had a feeling from the get-go that there was more going on beyond my job as a deck chair decorator...

Thank you so much! :D

This is great! If only the chairs were flying around when the ship was shaking.

Developer

That's a great idea! Even more chaos :D

Developer

One might even say it's...out of control?

I'm a 90s child - so everything Titanic gets me right away! :D

I loved the original idea, the hand drawn style and - most of all - the captain's nonchalant announcements.

Great job!

Thank you so much!

I literally giggled through the entire thing - such a great concept! The captain's soothing voice really helped me focus on advancing my career.

Thanks so much! We'll let the captain know you appreciated her announcements :)

Some say games require physical goals, progression, or competition. But a new category must be added to the hall of gaming fame: deck chairs. Whether it falls into the category of "video game" or not is up for debate, but the piece de resistance that is "Rearranging the Deck Chairs on the Titanic" must be considered a higher level of art. It seemlessly creates an arguably fictional world, with its unique take on the famous historical event. The chair czar rates 5 stars.

Oh my goodness, thank you. We feel seen.

Developer(+2)

No YOU'RE a higher level of art <3
