I really enjoyed my time with this game! Simple concept, cute art style, nice vibes, and all-around fun gameplay—what's not to like? I think you've really nailed the prompt in a way that isn’t aggravating or frustrating (like some other games, haha), but instead, in a real wholesome way.
Glad you liked it! We spent the first hour of the jam deciding on our interpretation of the theme and ultimately decided to not go too crazy with an abstract take but instead keep things simple. Thanks for the kind words :)
I think the coolest thing about this (other than the really nice presentation) was the fact that you couldn't just spray shoot or the balls themselves would start becoming more of a problem than the dogs. Cool game!

Cute and simple! I feel like it could work with the theme better, but I enjoyed playing it and just chilling. The music really helped set the mood - good job!

I really really like your game, loved the art, the soundtrack and the chill environment . I like how you can play in 2 styles, careful but not so fun or just stand in a corner and shoot balls praying a ball wont hit you. Congrats on making a game this good in 2 days 5/5

Thanks so much for the feedback! It was a bit difficult for us to think of an idea, so we just went with the dogs and tennis balls going out of control to adhere to the theme interpreted as an idiom.
Poor little saucer cat, can't get a break from all those dogs. I liked how the tennis balls bounced off walls.

So charming! Everything fits together so nicely for a cute, lovable atmosphere! The attention to detail is great! Right when I was thinking, 'there should be more dog types,' the bigger dog showed up! And the chunky dog that eats them was my favorite!
I'm really glad you liked it! I love the chunky dog too. There are currently six different dog types and possibly more coming in the post-jam version ;)

Really fun. You should add a score in there. If there is one i missed it! Also it crashed for me but it was REALLY fun before it crashed. I love dog and cat games.
Thanks! I've actually been working on the game after the jam and have added a score system. Sorry to hear it crashed, the version pushed out minutes before the deadline is slightly buggy lol.
