Very cool concept!
I found it pretty difficult to kill the bugs since they all clumped together when they were chasing me. I think it would be cool to see different movement patterns for different enemy types; for example, a bug that shoots something at you from a distance.
I liked that you had a tutorial that made your game easy to learn; great game!
I really like your game, and the visual glitch effects are awesome!
One thing that I found a little difficult (on the harder puzzles) was trying to remember the spatial layout of the maps and objects in both dimensions. I think that it would be helpful to be able to peak into the other dimension to see what's there or to have some sort of cross-dimensional shadow to track objects across the dimensions.
Really cool game!
Great game idea with linking multiple controls together in a malfunction!
The main thing that I think could be improved is giving the player more time to see and react to the malfunction blocks. That way, I would have enough time to plan out what malfunction I want to select (but a short enough time that I have to make a quick decision about which block to pick).
I think this is a great idea that has the potential to lead to some really interesting malfunction combos!
I really like your game idea (and fun story/theme)!
As the game is right now, it's not very difficult to win. I wish that there were multiple goals throughout the house that only a specific character could accomplish. This would help make it so that Bob and Alice are forced to cross paths more often.
Cool game, I think it has potential!
I really like the concept behind your game! It's a fun combination of solving the puzzle and having the skill to execute the solution!
If you want to keep working on the game after this jam, here are a few things that I noticed:
- It would be helpful to have a visual indicator for how close the cubes need to get before one explodes
- I found a bug where I was able to move one cube inside the other when moving up a step into the other cube
- The camera perspective on some of the puzzles was a little confusing; for example, it's hard to tell the vertical distance between two platforms that are not connected by any blocks
Great game!
Thanks NikitaKart! I was so excited when I found the font lol (it's Major Mono Display on Google Fonts if you want to check it out).
I like your game idea!
I had a bit of trouble playing with only my keyboard (can't point & shoot with my laptop's trackpad). I think that the keyboard movement would be a little more intuitive if the player shot in the direction they're facing instead of using the arrow keys to aim.
Because of the controls (and/or my lack of skill), I wasn't able to explore the game as much as I wanted to. Really cool concept though, and fun presentation!
