The gameplay gimmick was very cool indeed. The main problem I had at first was when I created a spider ball, I didn't get any real player feedback, which resulted in me being confused after I dashed thru a web and not seeing anything happen. Only when I shot my spoder ball did it make sense. So maybe you could have had a small ball carried behind the character that got larger with each successful dash attack.
I played it here:
Clever idea! I hope you polish teh game visuals after the jam, that cool be an awesome game! Nice job!
Very cool concept!
I found it pretty difficult to kill the bugs since they all clumped together when they were chasing me. I think it would be cool to see different movement patterns for different enemy types; for example, a bug that shoots something at you from a distance.
I liked that you had a tutorial that made your game easy to learn; great game!
A good concept and solid execution. The dash felt good as did building up a huge web ball to destroy enemies when they bunched up. I hope you keep working on this after the jam. Great work!
Really cool concept. It would be neat to have an ability to spread enemies apart or something. Once they get really grouped up it can be hard to eliminate them!
I'm not sure if my screen was too small or the HUD was missing. It was hard to see how much life or HP I had left.
This is a really nice interpretation of the theme! I would love to see an update after the jam. The web physics are fun to play with. Definitely consider adding new mechanics, like maybe a sticky web that restricts enemies' movement when webbed to a wall.
very original game concept!
Nice concept. Presentation can be polished, but that's game jam time limits for you. Also echoing the request for more screen space.
Interesting game, good job!
Nice work! Cool mechanic!
Fun, there is a bug in the tutorial, and the enemies don't seem to spawn fast enough in the beginning, but I like it.
It was fun. Would have been nice to have a bit more screen space to work with.
The concept is well thought out and the music is good. You could have made the sprites look a tiny bit better though. Great game!
Interesting concept. I like that the player is the one joining other things together. Cool game!
The concept is awesome. Fits good with the theme. The visuals could be improved though.
