Thanks for the comment! Just a hint: There are items in each biome that help to survive some other biome. So there is kind of a progression that way. Check tooltips for the "-enemy dmg" stat.

What would be missing from the tutorial? I thought I described the end goal and how to work your way towards it?

True. It might be difficult at first. Tutorial should at least point in the right direction.

Thanks for the comment. I fixed those bugs and uploading a new version now. The idea for the Shadow-items is cool and I would really love to make the idle-combat deeper. It would be nice to have some resistances, different attack elements and so on. But a jam game is a jam game so I ended up with a very simple system. First idea for this game was only a transmutation puzzle game, but I ended up liking the idea of some "combat" system to loot resources.

Edit: Bugs fixed for now.

Thanks for the comment! Didn't even spot these bugs myself. On my way to fix them before the jam ends.

I was aiming with the attack timer so that early game is somewhat slow so that player takes time to read tooltips and learn about different items. Later on it becomes incredibly fast (1sec at best after my bug fix).

Edit: I removed 1 second from the timer now, not much but enough to not make me redo the attack speed buff items. Bugs fixed for now.

I had a lot of cool ideas like that. Also a rogue like upgrade system after each day, but I can only do so much in a few days of game jam sadly

Aright! Managed to clear at least the first level now

Edit: Ended up clearing the game. After learning the mechanics some more, this much more fun when I stopped falling down all the time xD

Thanks for the feedback! That Day 4 playthrough was a good record!

Thanks. I added a bolded text about the parasols to description now 😅

Thanks! I've learned to always read the description and information on game jam games because of stuff like that xD .

I can't jump that high. Edit: Oh I see, i can dash upwards! Btw. Setting dash to CTRL is a bit of a problem if a player is using WASD since CTRL+W closes the current tab. The lack of checkpoints also makes this a tad tedious...

Very good looking game. Also feels very polished and ready. Was fun to play.

Fun idea and execution. You managed to put 4 actions into one button, which is a fun way to implement. This would be cool to try with a controller instead of a mouse.

Love deck building games, and I wouldn't have thought that someone manages to create a fun and exciting deck building game for a short game jam alone. Very fun experience and congrats for finishing the game.

Polished and fun game. I liked the difficulty curve ramping up gradually instead of pitting the player against the most difficulty stuff right from the start.

Nice easy mechanic. I like the chaotic energy of the game: The camera shake, flashy effects, huge blood explosions and so on.

Hammer mechanic is very well done. I liked the small push back, since it was possible to use that to advantage (basically flying in air while hitting the ground enemies)

Fun game and a cool mechanic, but it's very short? It's just the tutorial since on the rightmost platform there is nowhere to go?

Fun theme and character art. It was difficult at the start but I just had to use dash much more. Maybe some obstacles to punish the overuse of dash would've been cool?

Same input - two character -puzzle games are always a fun idea to play through. Enough difficulty here for a small game so that it felt challenging enough.

Presentation wise a very cool game. Good graphics, sounds and the whole package felt polished audio-visually for me. Concept was also good. It had enough mechanics to keep me hooked for a while.

Fun idea. I did have trouble hitting the correct toastlevel since the descriptions were difficult to follow. Maybe if the toast color changed on intervals rather than a slider, it would've been easier to play.

Nice little puzzle game. Would've played a lot more if it was longer. I had a major problems with the camera though, but in the end it somewhat worked out so that I could finish the game.

Nice little puzzle game. Would've played much more levels, but for a short game like this, it was good that the levels were difficult enough

Very nice idea and the use of limitation is well thought out.

I died about 10 times before managing the first two jumps. The game looks good and polished but the huge hitbox on the player character makes the movement a bit more difficult that it should be.

Interesting mechanic with the slow falling bird. Makes it different from usual platformers.

The limits for shooting and double jump is a nice idea to mix things up. Makes me think about every action I take, which is something I have not encountered much in platformers.

Smooth movement and gameplay. Also the theme/flavour is weird (in a good way) and funny. Extra points for hitting the wall animation

Cute and cozy looking game. I myself always have problems creating unique looking graphics, but this really hits the spot.

The games concept is very fun. The upgrade system also gives the game a good progression. Had a bit of trouble with the screen size, until I opened the game in full screen.

The graphics are top notch. Controls are a bit problematic because of the mouse+keyboard combination, but other than that it's a fun little game.

I'm having a problem where the menu screen graphics start popping through the game. After a few minutes of playing it gets so bad that I can't really play the game. I tried with different browsers but all had the same bug.

Oh. And actually I found even more bugs regarding this interaction. All fixed now.

Thanks for the heads up. Gotta fix that. Which progression circle is it?

Thanks for the extensive feedback! This was one of my first finished games so it had it's flaws. I had a lot of trouble figuring the balancing aspects out and even at one point had to rewrite some stuff because of how computers handle numbers. After certain point the numbers become so large that the game breaks down.

Thanks!

Awesome :D .  Nice to see someone playing my game even after the GameJam ended.
