Surprisingly good and fun experience! I dare to say it's one of the most "complete packages" I played so far in this jam. From an outsider perspective, seems like you had an idea, imposed limitations to benefit from the idea (or vice versa), and executed exactly the way it was supposed to be. Fun and addicting retro game. Didn't get to use Apple II, but it reminds me of some great Atari 2600 I've played. Good work overall on all fronts. My high score was about 15800.

Just had one question, I noticed the music getting faster and the levels increasing, but the difficulty affected things in-game like enemy health or bullet speed, or the game is reliant on player mistakes? Personally, it seemed all my deaths was due to my wrong decisions so I suppose this is good arcade game design lol

Pretty good. Art, sounds, music and gameplay are all solid. One of the most fun games I played this jam. Theme is present, but is used confusingly in my opinion.

I didn't quite understood the border mechanic. On my first runs, the border was small and moved randomly. When I changed it, only the color swapped or it became stationary, restricting me too much. There wasn't much variety and was a little frustrating. But on my best run I got a wide border that seemed to follow me everywhere and that's when I got stuck playing for almost 10 minutes. But in this case I didn't even wanted to change my border, so you can say that the mechanic kinda turned pointless because it didn't impact my gameplay at all...

With more polish, less floaty movement and a more thought out main mechanic, this game can be a great arcade/leaderboard-focused experience. Congrats!

Pretty polished for a jam game. Nice UI , boss intro animations, unique patterns for each boss. Gameplay is tight, reminds me of an old boss rush game I used to play on Kongregate. Awesome work overall for just 10 days of work.

Unique concept. It was difficult to wrap my head around the controls in the beginning but got used to them

This game certainly stands out... And in a good way! Pretty funny and unique, the boss fight is challenging (also quite long) and the overall tone is very cool.

Pretty fun game to play with good visuals and sound. I liked the back and forth between gun and sword during gameplay.

Ok, this is one of the best uses of "confined" I've seen so far. Don't worry about the art, it fits the lore and ended up being quite charming. Gameplay was a bit chaotic since everything seemed to move too fast and was hard react sometimes.

This game had me nostalgic for the old flash games I played some years ago. Great visuals and chill atmosphere. Sadly, locking enemies to use as platforms isn't used at all in the only level available, even though it was supposed to be one of the main game mechanics.
This could be a nice 2D puzzle platformer with some working on level design and polish.

Fun short game to play. Cute visuals and pleasing sounds. The bullet deflection mechanic is creative but not very supported by the boss design. The first and third boss are very easy to defeat just by standing still and spamming the bat. The second one is the only one difficult enough to play more dynamically

Nice game and very satisfying to play. Visuals are simple but effective, sounds are impactful, lots of feedback for the player. Didn't noticed much difference between normal and hard mode. I would prefer if the weapon drops were a little more frequent.

Using melee in a bullet hell game is a great idea! I think that the visuals are charming and sound is decent for a jam game. I think that the dodging distance is too high and also expected the deflecting ability to recharge faster. Didn't notice much difference in the upgrades except the health ones. Overall, the game is good and pretty fun!

This concept is so cool! The gameplay is nice, but I agree about visual clarity. You don't have much feedback and specifically the bullet shadow/trail effect got my eyes a little tired. Still, the casino mechanic is very creative and with proper polishing can be a great game.

Pretty fun game. Minimalist art and sound mix nicely, music is pleasing and the levels can get challenging. Boss has nice patterns that can get harder with his movement. Personally, I think that the player damage is a bit too low (or enemies have higher health than expected) and in the first levels the enemies are stationary with easy patterns, so you don't move much and just spam them. But fourth and fifth levels are great!
I had the same problem as JokubasG, movement inputs stopped working when I clicked accidentally outside of the game. Focusing on it again didn't fix it and I had to reload the page.

Nice boss fight but not very challenging since the player seems to receive equal or less damage than the boss itself. I can confirm that you indeed fight bred.
Just a technical note: the size of the current play-window thing is too small and I had to enter fullscreen to see the HUD elements. I think you can change it even after the submission is over.

Extremely well made gem for the bullet hell jam. Very polished gameplay and visual effects. Nice simple and minimalist art with a great color palette. Personally, web version is a little too easy for my taste, but it don't affect the fun at all. Great music selection as well.
Definitely one of the highlights from this jam, and the fact that was made by only one person in 7 days is incredible!

Really nice and underrated game. Animations are smooth and the game feels amazing to play. Can be really hard to dodge sometimes, but the checkpoints makes the game more forgiving. Great work!

Nice idea of trying to extinguish the sun while he is mad at you. But the randomness is very punishing. Some specific sequences of patterns are straight impossible do dodge in time. Also it seems like there's no end/completion state? I some good runs but there's no indication of progress

Very pretty and well designed game. While extremely polished, gameplay is too short and fast. Being too intense right off the bat is a little frustrating. Was expecting more  porn elements going by the thumbnail.
