I'm sorry you didn't like it but thank you for playing and telling me your thoughts.

I understand and am aware of the points you have. I know of it being a problem of how obtuse area designs are, especially for a game where there's a more stated goal than most YN-fangames. I'm inclined to believe that contributed to the whole "everything felt useless" feeling you had. I would definitely try to clamp down on that in an update or redo.

Thank you again for playing and giving me your thoughts.

I love the idea for the game. The whole game looks really cute! Tho the car's really janky to control.

I like the idea tho I feel like I got confused as to how to like, crash the PC.

Idk how I crashed it but I mean I get the idea. I kinda wondered if there was an internet password somewhere I didn't know.

I got to the platforming bit finally.

Really tough game :O Platforming's really loose and slippery.
The music's really good though.

Oh I was wondering why I couldn't figure out what to do.

Yeah I dropped the ball on the theming. I tunnelvisioned on the blanket idea of the enemies being fire themed and unused mechanics based around heating that I forgot to actually make the world feel like its warm. Idk why I thought to give the tiles a cool blue color and not like a rusted warmer color.

But thank you so much for playing my game! I learned a lot making this project since this was my first godot project!

Yep it's a firesale! Glad you enjoyed what's there.

That and this is my first time working in Godot. A lot of this was tutorials and I got held up towards the end because I didn't know how to make the scripts talk to each other. (Example: making the timer stop)
I'm glad you enjoyed what was there!

Yeah like, it took me 3 minutes to run the course and I wondered how the heck are there times that are three times faster than me
That's when it hit me.

Super cute! I love it

Oof this is hard :P

Okay this is funny

Oh god those flies are so annoying.

I'm so close to beating 9 laptops it's so frantic trying to mental math which to go after first.

I really like the idea for this game!

I like this game, the car is super cute!

I just wanna say I love that this game gave me an "ah-ha" moment looking at the listed times. That's an amazing feeling.

I just wanna ask:

Is this actually another part in the ARG (I'm aware the creator said it's finished) or is it just an actual game from what they already made for it?

Aww sorry about that. I always miss something in playtesting. I do understand the execution of the puzzles might've been a bad idea on my part. In my head it's to screw with the player's head like the sudden room changes but I understand they probably were a lot more annoying in practice. Glad you like the story though!

Thank you! I do realize the puzzles I came up with were probably a lot more troublesome than intended. I do wonder if the first few puzzles being intentionally impossible puzzles were a bad idea. The intent was creating puzzles that mess with player's head similar to the room alteration events. I'm glad some of the spooks landed at least.

Kinda? The idea was to confuse the player by making them question how long the puzzle is going on for. I'll admit I'm wondering was if it was a bad idea having the first puzzles to this game being puzzles where the answer is exhausting the player to give up on the puzzle. In my head that was to screw with the player's mind, this idea of making players realize or question if something's wrong.

I'm glad you like the story though!

Idk why but multitasking games like these always scare me a lot. That moment with the face(?) spawning in the window was scary as heck. I didn't know what to do besides close the window anytime I pass by it. I want to play more but I'm genuinely kinda unsettled by the game to like get further.

Good game all around.

I like the idea of rummaging through the fields with the fear of something out to get you. I do wish the stamina recharged faster and at least when you're in control of the dog. Also idk if it was stated somewhere and I missed it but I think you forgot to take out a dev thing, pressing R restarted my game so I had to do it again XP

Love the idea.

The stick collecting part was the scariest part to me. The little thing with the last stick was cool, genuinely thought I was like going crazy for a second. The narrator is really fun. Idk why but it's giving me like Thomas the Tank Engine vibes of that kind of cozy narration.

Pretty good.

Aww crap I'm sorry about that. Missed that

Hello! Sorry for posting this after a while but I've been meaning to ask, do you know how to use the script calls/commands towards the bottom of the read me document? I'm not sure how to add stuff like the background letterboxing or changing the backgrounds in the middle of a fight? I don't understand how I'm supposed to use the commands nor what in the text I'm supposed to change so it can actually change the background or toggle the letterbox.

Sorry about that! I'll see if I can get that fixed
