Good job! Beaten her :)
My only criticism would be, that I tried to sync my dodges with the sounds which doesn't work for me (time window to small). I switched to predicting based on animations later.
Maybe a perfect block or parry could be a good addition here.

Nice to have a horror game in this jam! I think the game is to bright, it somewhat removes the spooky factor for me and makes the flashlight useless.
There is also a bug where you interact with the locker at the start and it opens the exit door / changes the objective.
A stamina bar and music/sfx when red gura chases you would be nice.
Anyway cool game and nice references :)
The game has a great atmosphere with it's visuals, music and sounds!
I had some issues with the game scaling. It starts in window mode and scale up to the screen size. But the backgrounds kept the prior window size. The options also didn't work. (running on 4k monitor) [Edit: Just read it in the patch notes that you are aware of that :)]
The platforming was fun and I like that the areas are highlighted. The combat needs some feedback, for when you get hit or hit enemies. And a hp bar for the boss would be nice 🙂
Thanks for the feedback!
- We increased the speed & dmg of the light attack and fixed the ultimate. The pebbles spawn random but now should cover the whole screen. The heavy attack is intended as a risky but powerful melee attack.
- We also reduced the effect of the healing items
And at last the vortexes is something we'll look into after the jam :)
Good job! Really like that the room gets updated over time, but wished for more variation (tapestry, posters, cd, ...) and that the standees move after each night. Also like the corruption on the laptop and all the references you put in the game! Don't know what's more funny: the ending or that the player has a shelf over his barricaded window :D
Good job on your first game jam! The objective of the game should be more visible, I didn't open the pause menu in my first run. Also I assume the different items are ammo types, maybe a list that shows the relation between ammo and gun would be helpful :)
Edit: Replayed it, thanks for adding the feedback!
I played the game until saving Bloom and have to say it has a great atmosphere with it's visuals and music. The puzzles were fun, some more or less challenging. I'm not sure if I played the stars with the black dots correctly, I mostly bounced off it until it was charged.
Also encountered two bugs: If you press right click at the start after clearing the first star; and if you hold right click in a star, you stay there and the arrow goes wild :D
