Tax time! I love the action pack shooter game, kinda like Hotline Miami or Enter the Gungeon! A bit sad that there's lack of sfx for the gun and some background music though, if there's that it would definitely add to the gun feel!

I think with a bit more work, this game could feel even better, for now, nice job!

Love the fast paced action in this game! A little bit of hotline miami vibe where everything happens in split seconds. Especially appreciate the inclusion of green lines telling me where to go in game like these.
Though, please try not to leave out BGM, especially when ambience is one of the judging criteria. It is as important as having graphics in your game, with very little effort required to include. Find some royalty free bgm that kinda fits the mood of your game and slap it in with a loop. (eg. https://pixabay.com/music/crime-scene-alexshadous-secret-mission-121611/)
Had fun with this game, thanks for making this!

Jam Judge

Short game with high paced action!

The sprites are nice. I specially liked the Chattini.

That tanky enemy turned the game into bullet hell pretty quickly! Haha! Pretty fun to fight!

Some improvement suggestions:

-It took me a couple of tries to figure out I had to reload manually (missed the button in the controls the first time). You could show the controls in an  overlay on a corner of the screen to help with this.

- It's a shame the game has no sound. It would add a lot to the chaos happening in the screen.

- I couldn't figure out how to use the shop. It only showed a button to buy the weapons I already had (I think?) The UI probably needs to be improved to be easier to understand.

Good work for first jam game
I played the new patch so had no trouble getting around, could focus on shooting and surviving
One thing to note, seems like its possible for the otomos to get closer to you than you can shoot, which is basically game over

For a first game jam this pretty solid! I agree with Rieght who said that the objective should be more visible. Also huge change making the pause button tab instead of esc. Means I can actually play it on full screen now lol.

I'll admit that this bit is from before the patch, so it might be outdated, but I wasn't able to find the central command room after installing the laser drill since there were just dead ends everywhere.

In any case, good job!

Good job on your first game jam! The objective of the game should be more visible, I didn't open the pause menu in my first run. Also I assume the different items are ammo types, maybe a list that shows the relation between ammo and gun would be helpful :)
Edit: Replayed it, thanks for adding the feedback!

I can't seem to defeat the Otomos.

Good job, you tried your best!
