Didn't believe I had to lock in during the Jam review! Quite short but a full fledge soul-like boss fight! Wish there some pebbly unique spin to it but other than that, solid boss, and solid combat, awesome game!

Pretty short but a good boss fight. Nice Work

Currently among my top picks so far. It just hits everything right, from the theme to the gameplay and the references. It absolutely captures the feeling of a souls game and keeps it simple enough to be enjoyable in a jam context. I really like the combat and I'll definitely keep playing this in the future to try and get the crystal sword! Great work!

Small bug report section: if you run into Biboo at the start (when she runs towards you) it's possible to get shoved under the stage and it's impossible to hit her from there, and the only way to get hit yourself is if she spins. I can recreate this bug more consistently with the pickaxe than the shovel (not sure why). Also (in the first phase of the fight) sometimes I am hugging the boss so close that the overhead and side slash don't connect even if I don't dodge. Might be also the angle I'm at. Not sure why that happens too.

One of my favorite entries of the jam!

Great work on the modelling, the animations, the music and the combat design!

Definitely felt that souls-like boss experience with the constant death and retry. XD

I managed to defeat her but I don't think I'll go for the no damage achievement.

Super solid game. Didn't find any bugs or things I didn't like.

It's all really well put together! The animations that telegraph attacks, (the little twinkles are a nice touch), the art for the tutorial and the ending screen, and I was completely unprepared for her to trash talk me upon killing me!

I think this counts as the farthest I've ever gotten in a souls-like XD. I did beat it, but it took a while. beautifully done. The only thing I could possibly gripe about is that we're just kind of fighting in a stone box. If you were to change anything you might try making it look a bit more like the Colosseum from the EnReCo streams. (I do believe that's where this is)
Otherwise, this is really good!

The game is very good. You nailed the Darksouls feel, is very satisfying to play thanks to the smooth controls, the amount of smooth animations, and the anticipation of the attacks.

Really amazing game!
Increadible you did this in just 2 weeks!

I defeated the Stain Princess! It was so much fun trying to figure out all the different attacks. Some were more telegraphed than others, and each had its own intuitive timing for invincibility frames. For me, the trickiest part to git gud was distinguishing between Biboo's spinning attack and the quick slash. They both start with her moving her sword to the right (her left), but the timing for dodging is totally different. In the end, I just gave up on trying to dodge perfectly and opted to move away whenever either of those two attacks started.

But overall, it’s a well-designed boss fight! (And it even has a second phase? What?!)

Good job! Beaten her :)
My only criticism would be, that I tried to sync my dodges with the sounds which doesn't work for me (time window to small). I switched to predicting based on animations later.
Maybe a perfect block or parry could be a good addition here.

This game is awesome! Had a lot of fun playing (haven't beaten it tho cuz I suck at soulslike games). The artstyle is really climatic and brings to mind PS2 era games. Hope to see more from you in the future! (Also OST slaps hard)

Got her! At this point I can only hope to build a game this good. One day.

I love how the character moves, and it's easy to understand. Maybe I'm not quite skilled enough to beat it yet, but one day I definitely will. This is super fun!

This is honestly amazing and makes me want to try making something myself just like it! Would love to see the unity code to learn. I unfortunately am terrible at this and timing the rolls has been a little difficult for me even though there's the indicator right before an attack.

Also I bet Biboo would love to play this!

Easily one of the best games of the jam, excellent job.

Nice fight, but I'm too noob to beat her xD.

Great game, having a blast playing it

I'm definitely getting skill issue'd because I can't beat Biboo while everyone else seemingly can, but as someone who has never played a soulslike game before, this was really fun. The animations were good and clear to understand,  the moveset design was nice, and the cosmetic weapon menu was a really nice touch.

i will definitely come back to actually beat Bibbo though lmao.

Probably my favourite game of all the ones I tested yet. Love it! The Boss is not too hard, the attacks are easy to remember and dodge (as someone who also played quite a bit of other souls like games xD), but this fight still is really satisfying especially once you try the no hit run xD Besides i didn't see any bugs or other issues (except the one where you clip beneath biboo if you run straight at her at the beginning of the game which was mentioned before already). Solid game especially since you were working alone!

I'm stunned at how polished this is for a one-man jam game. Super cute art, genius boss and combat design, great storytelling, banger BGM, and a 2nd phase?! It's got it all! I especially liked all the audio/visual feedback for everything, like how attacks give off a small spark and clink sound when it lands.

I did encounter 1 funny bug where if you and Biboo (Bijou?) run at each other at full speed at the start, you clip into the ground. (I think restarting during one of her attacks and overlapping colliders had something to do with it). Unfortunately, I can't cheese her this way and still must git gud😔.

As an avid souls fan and hololive fan, I've been so excited to play this when I saw you post about it. It plays really well! It really feels like I'm fighting a souls boss except its Biboo. The moveset is well designed too, and it was pretty difficult too even as a souls gamer lol. Amazing work! Gonna try unlocking that katana now hehe.
