ah I can see that being confusing, I think the font I chose for the game page made “Fall” look like “Ball” haha

thank you for the feedback!

always room for improvement, keep it up!

ah I see, I'll try it out again then!

yeah, a little buggy and frustrating to the point where it feels unplayable.

Love the artwork, and I would definitely enjoy the game if it functioned the way it was intended.

there was never a point where the game felt like a challenge, but the controls felt really nice.  good job!

very interesting concept!  Never really understood how to officially win the game, and the instructions were a little overwhelming at first.   would be nice if the scroll telling you how to play could be put away because it felt like a distraction.  but I got the hang of it eventually and had some fun.

great artwork too!

loved the simple mechanic, and you chose a wonderfully satisfying sound for the puffing/deflating!

would be nice if there was a way the player could get some warning of what danger is coming next, because a lot of times I found myself falling right into some random spikes and the red things.

had some fun regardless, good job!

short and simple game, interesting concept!

beautiful artwork and innovative gameplay!

level design could use a bit work, because there were times I had no idea where I was supposed to go.  the controls would probably feel nicer if the character with the balloon is able to walk when on the ground, instead of staying still, because you often hit the ground.

one more thing is that waiting for every scene to load was very long and I eventually got a little tired of it (even just going to the menu)

simple game, cute artwork!  maybe the music is a little intense for the vibe

I think it'd be cool if you could see the fossils you collected put together in the main menu!

moving back and forth and needing to connect tons of cables one by one gradually made me feel a little sick.

Loved the graphics though!

"You must upload a digital game to itch.io, which is playable by someone using a Windows PC, with nothing more than a keyboard or mouse. It should not require additional hardware or software to run."  The farthest I got in the game was a pause screen that never went away at the beginning, probably because of weird buttons, so I never got to play it.

I was very excited to play this when I saw the beautiful graphics, but it's generally not a good idea to make your game for a controller, especially for a game jam when you want as many people as possible to play

Always test what you uploaded on itch.io, this isn't how you upload your build.

Sorry this happened, good luck next jam

very simple game and well execution to the idea.

however, the biggest problem: the sound effects for picking up the white circles is horrid, and I had to take off my earbuds to enjoy the game.

It also took me a while to realize that this was unlike the original snake and you can just pass through your body, which makes the game a little easier.

nice overall though, good job!

It was the web version.  Just tried out the download version and it definitely feels smoother, but the controls are always the crisper the better.  Highly suggest some more optimization for games like this which requires precision.

I also encountered this bug that seemed to be uniquely on the windows version, where once you bring up the second elevator with the mouse on, the mouse seems to phase into the elevator and get stuck, making you unable to jump

awwww that was so cute!!!

very simple but enjoyable gameplay with nice artwork and fitting voice/audio.  this is definitely something i'll come back to every now and then

cool idea, nice aesthetics, fits the theme well.  would've felt less boring if there was music or more sound effects

the game felt slow in terms of performance, which caused a lot of delays in the controls and made me fall a bunch.

lot of potential, good job!

Always test if your game runs after uploading on itch.  It always sucks to run into issues like uploading the wrong files.

Sorry this happened to you, good luck next jam

that was fun!! at first it was a little unclear that hitting the heart with your T-cells is bad.  I think it'd be cool if the heart flashes when it gets damaged, so we can easily see what's going on.

overall great work! very creative and has a lot of potential

You should be really proud that you managed to compete in literally one of the largest game jams in the world!

I thought your game idea was very creative, and especially impressive for a solo game.

I can definitely understand the stress these jams can bring especially with a super short period of time, and I'd love to share with you my experience a little bit that might help you too!  This was my second game jam ever, the first one with me doing all of the art and programming while working with my music composer friend.  This time I got 2 of my other friends to help with programming, and that drastically reduced the workload!  That would be my advice to have the most fun out of these.

great artwork, would be nice if it was clear what I was looking for.  and i don't know if I was just unlucky or never understood the game but i never seemed to have the employees I had to fulfill the load.

interesting concept though, good job!

a unique approach to the theme, good job on finishing your game!

super difficult game and the controls were hard to manage, but nevertheless it was a fun challenge and the plotline was interesting!

Always test what you uploaded on itch, because that's not how you upload a game.  Just the executable is not enough.

Sorry we can't play it, good luck next jam

great concept!  one suggestion is to make it so that we can visually see that we have built the rocket to be larger so your work feels more rewarding.

love the artwork and style too. good job!

When I run the executable it just tells me to choose a file, and I couldn't get it to work.

You should always test the file you uploaded on the site before leaving it, because it's usually not just an executable file you need to run the game (don't forget your folder with your assets, and whatever building the game generated).

Sorry this happened, best of luck next jam

didn't really know what was going on but the awesome button weapon is awesome, very fun concept

The controls feel a bit unresponsive-- especially can't seem to jump at all when rolling downhill.

Overall the game was simple and fun, with cute visuals that fit the vibe.  Music and sound effects would definitely enhance the experience.  Good job!

didn't really know what was going on, but really enjoyed the art, including the visuals and music.  read all the lore too! i need my hands on some yarndines

ohhhh i see XD

Silly  black cats destroying their own house seemed to be a common theme among the submissions, but trying to stay away from the owner was an interesting mechanic that made this game unique!

Having the little tail hanging and wagging is a cute and clever way of showing that the cat is dropping the books!

Took me a long while to understand the mechanics but I got the hang of it and got to 8750 B)

Very cool concept and had a lot of fun!

Thanks for the feedback!

I'm planning to add keyboard buttons to select each cat and treat them, so they don't kill your fingers as intensively.

Adjusting to resolutions is definitely something I want to try in an update and future projects.

After getting through the cave I kept falling off and had to redo the entire cave sequence again, resulting in me speedrunning the caves 3 ish times until I quit.

Other than that, it's a simple platformer with well set obstacles.  Also really liked the opening cutscene.  Nice!

ooh, maybe I will...

haha i didn't think you'd check that!  yeah I had a phase where I drew a bunch of weird stuff

thanks, I'm glad you liked it!

Cat pics are a very unique reward :)
