Great game! I found it very hard for me as the game progresses since the units level up and get stronger, then adding new units to increase weight is less effective cos they die so quickly. Got to almost 30 a couple of times. Some way to balance that would be good and add some nice extra strategy to the game. The shop system was cool but felt like there could be more depth there.

Super polished though, creepy giant dude in the background was really effective and I liked the adaptive music a lot.

Cool game!

I love Greek mythology and the game is really well executed and fun.

Good game mechanics, good interpretation of the theme.

Lots of little animations add to the experience: the booster that vibrates with the tearing sound when you open it is very satisfying.

Themis, which moves smoothly in the background, is fantastic without ever getting in the way of the gameplay. It's all very, very good.

Developer

Thank you so much for these kind words :) It really means a lot. All the best

I love the Ancient Greek theme and art! Feels well polished and plays well. I didn't manage to beat it (because I was very silly and played the siren despite the warning. That's on me) but I really liked this one. Art and music were very good quality and it was fun seeing all my little guys fighting. Well done!

Developer

Thanks so much :) we will have a working version together for after the jam. all the best

I loved the artstyle and how the theme was interpreted, but I felt like some kind of tutorial was needed. It was very overwhelming for me to go straight into action, without knowing what cards do or how the gameplay works. Othern than that, pretty solid game.

hello fellow card game devs! I love how polished the visuals are, and the animated character in the background! Very well made game :)

very interesting concept!  Never really understood how to officially win the game, and the instructions were a little overwhelming at first.   would be nice if the scroll telling you how to play could be put away because it felt like a distraction.  but I got the hang of it eventually and had some fun.

great artwork too!

Developer(+1)

Hey, thanks for playing! :) There's an 'x' icon in the top right to put the scroll away. I can totally see it being overwhelming at first. Having a proper tutorial would have been nice but there was no time for that so we had to settle for the "wall of text" approach^^'.
The goal is to have a large scale war with total unit weight of 50. So you win by having lots of units in play without the weight difference ever getting out of hand.

ah I see, I'll try it out again then!

Hey, another game set in Olympus! I love love love interactive audio!!! And the art looks amazing as well. It was kind of hard to tell what my objective is or feel motivated about playing cards because i wasn't really on 1 side or the other, but I think this game has the potential to be truly amazing. Great work yall!

Great style! Loved the aesthetics and sound. the gameplay is also quite nice. Good game! One quality of life feature I'd like to see is to somehow mark the card when you don't have resources to use it, like make it darker.

I'm not really into deck building games but I had quite a bit of fun with this one. Super polished and great graphics. Great work!

Really loved the premise of this game! Deck builder with an interesting mechanic! Loved the balance of wanting more units on the field but not wanting to be dealing lots of damage! Great job!

Perfect score for me, as a huge Greek mithology and card game enthusiast. I even played your Mountain game just for the sake of wanting more

Developer

thank you for making my day! :D

Woooow, the art and style of this is super polished. Props to the visual efforts! Think my only gripe is an end goal. Was super fun to mess with, and the gameplay was incredibly intricate, but I kind of wanted to have something to go towards. Wasn't sure if the game had one. Nitpicking tbh.

Eitherway, incredible stuff. Would love to see where you guys take this if you continue it!

Developer

thank you so much! There is an end goal (reach 50 total weight). Unfortunately there are a few bugs that make winning very unlikely. There's gonna be a post jam version for sure!

Wow a really ambitious project. Almost too ambitious for this jam setting as I would like to dive deeper into the mechanics yet I have so many games to play. It doesn't affect my rating of course. Really solid entry!

Great art, good music and good game balanced!
Loved the idea, would buy a more complete version!
Very difficult but I like the challenge XD
Very nice work!

Love this artstyle, animations add dynamics and you can feel the atmosphere of ancient Greece. Music and sound effects are perfect. The gameplay is really enjoyable and I like the fact that the game isn't too easy at first, but it's not absurdly difficult either! Very nice! ♥

Thanks so much for your comments about the music and SFX :) very proud of this one!

Although I don’t believe this is a 96-hour work, the quality of this game is indeed very high

Developer(+1)

I believe this is what we might call a "back-handed compliment". Thank you for the kind words and I assure you that we worked tirelessly to finish it within the 96 hours. All the best

it is the only game I've given 5/5 5/5 5/5 so far, it surprise me

Developer

I can assure you that many red-bulls were consumed in the making of this game (many by ohoodie himself)

Looks and sounds super lovely! The idea is also very creative and a nice take on the theme. I didn't really feel like a lot of the cards had much strategic value. In the end all that really mattered was having high weight.

Developer

Thanks very much for your kind comment! glad that you enjoyed some aspects of the game

Super interesting that you created a card builder game where you play against yourself! Very smart use of the theme!

Developer

Thanks very much! I'm loving the play against yourself vibe, keeps me coming back for more, personally!

Hey oHoodie, glad to see you in this year's GMTK Jam! This game is amazing with deep mechanics! Honestly impressed with how challenging and addicting this game is haha. Definitely gonna be recommending this to some friends to play.

Developer(+1)

Oh hey Jarred, I would never skip GMTK jam!
And of course I ended up making a card game again :D
Thank you for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
