Nice game! The art was well drawn and the jumping and shooting was tight. I think some of the jokes flew over my head though.

Interesting art, it was a fun game!

Cool game, angler fish are always scary! The grappling felt good and the art was nicely drawn, the flying tutorial text was a fun touch too.

Hey there, thanks for playing! The blood splatter is a particle emitter emitting towards a direction relative to the player hit direction. Knockback is added to the enemy's move calculations at every frame, lerping to zero.

That was great! The color palette really fit the post apocalyptic theme, and it was some good puzzling.

Nice! The music fits and it feels like solo point and click Overcooked.

Thank you, we definitely have an eye on fleshing out the game!

Appreciate the comments on the balance, we tried our best to have the game go through a slow initial phase, letting it peak, and wrapping it up with a lose screen in a reasonable amount of time for a game jam! Yes, hopefully we can implement a more fleshed out upgrade system at some point.

Great, you hit all the content!

The boat controlled well, and fishing was tight! Nice!

That was definitely a Moses-type game.

This could be a really good Robot Wars type physics simulator when fleshed out!

This was very fun and relaxing.. until it started raining fish!

That was fun! The boat felt very weighty.

Hmm, I think the .pck file is missing unfortunately!

Hmm it doesn't work unfortunately!

I am not able to run this unfortunately, I don't have pygame installed here, but your assets look good! Especially the swordfish

Interesting blend of genres! The rhythm was kinda off though.

Ahh, my thalassophobia!

I liked the Papers Please but as a boat inspector premise, and the boat controlled alright. The table controls could be improved, I think I struggled to move the paper. Inspecting the boxes could also be sped up.

Great looking use of a 2D sprites on a PSX background. I was able to punch the crocs all the way up in the air, that was amusing. Kinda ended abruptly with a cute cat.

Wow, that was certainly unexpected, thanks for a unique experience.

That was amazing, I can't believe this was made in a jam! Definitely plays and looks like something out of the PS1 era.

Wow uh, did not expect to be spooked like that.

Unique style, the UI is really cool to look at I'd say. Kinda tickles my thalassophobia too.

That was hilarious the first time I jumped in and started pummeling the red worm.

This was wonderful! Opening chests and collecting a bunch of fish tickled my brain. The attacks felt good too, nice job!

That was a good concept, I liked the fridges as a checkpoint. The jumping mechanics was quite dangerous too, I guess it's because you're an ice cube? Nice color palette too.

It was nice and chill, good job!

Here is ours, well done on your game! https://itch.io/jam/-pixel-game-jam-2024/rate/2718572

Ahoy matey, this game here be a real plunder of riches!

Fun quirky little game! Well done with the menus too. I enjoyed how the music changed. The jump controls are really precise though, I think I was punished a lot for it.

Well made game, I had fun with the different bullet patterns.

Fun game! It gave me a laugh when I saw how the lifeguards fought off the pirates.

The art is great! Creepy underwater atmosphere. I got really lost at some point.

That was great in every aspect! Fun art, I liked how you get roasted when you lose. Spiking the ball is really satisfying. Well done!

Interesting water mechanics, the movement was quite fast!

Thanks, we had a lot of fun thinking of reviews in the animals' personalities!
