I liked the concept, but the game is basically Slay The Spire made on a game Jam. Which makes it hard not to look at all the unpolished things. Here's a list of my thoughts playing:

  • Despite getting more actions every turn, I have nothing to do with those actions and I end up playing the top card every time. Could be improved by removing the card draw limit of one per turn and have it cost an action instead.
  • The game does not tell me I have to drag the cards out of the deck. Is not really intuitive.
  • Cards don't tell me what they do. So I just end up doing whatever rather than plan a strategy.
  • I have no hint on what does any card do, so I have no idea what to pick at shop, which apparently just gives anything for free, but only once. I picked a castle thinking it was a good defense card and it only heals a little, so I just shot myself on the foot.
  • I can just skip the whole level by clicking '?'
  • The art is really nice.
  • I really liked the credits.

Sorry if my comment is to straight forward and negative. Not my intention to offend. I understand that the team is mostly new people for such an ambitious concept and because of the credits I can see you all did your best and had fun. This is my third jam and looking at the results, the games with the most simple concepts and fewer mechanics always come out on top.  Hope you all keep going forward and improve further.

Really cool game. Love card games and this one hold up. As feedback, the game just needs a bit more clarity giving information. Some icons in description are hard to understand, it would be nice to have a toggeable legend to see what thing it is. Also, let player get information on what they already built just like the cards do. Other than that, the game is pretty much perfect!

Fantastic game! I loved the gameplay loop and every aspect. The music fit the gameplay perfectly and the art style looked awesome. Would love to see this game develop further.

Thank you!

Try the download version. It shouldn't have problems with the camera.

Hey, thank you for the comic appreciation! I made the intro. Thank you for your feedback as well!

Thank you! We did plan more mechanics, but ran out of time and couldn't add them :c .

Thank you! It was very fun to make the intro comic.

Try the download version. The camera should work properly.

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the artwork!

Very enjoyable game. It would be nice to add an input to instantly drop from a wall so the player doesn't have to wait for the ball to drop.

Awesome game! With simple concepts it builds up a really well thought game. I would love to see it become a full game.

Awesome game concept! I enjoyed the mechanics and the level design was very clever.

Very fun to play! The debris was hard to see, though. Would be nice if it pop out more.

Loved the visual style and the music as well! The game could be improved a little by having the asteroids spam further from screen. I died on second level just by asteroids spawning on top of the star. Could also be more fun to have a secondary objective like getting point for destroying asteroids.

Really cool level design. Loved the hidden facts. My only complain is the controlling the square feels annoying sometimes.

Great game! Very cool visual style and music! I enjoyed a lot.

Loved the game concept. A very smart design for the brief of time. The sprites and presentation were nicely done. It was also challenging to play. I have a suggestion, although I don't know how hard will it be to implement, but instead of pre made levels do a procedural system where every time the level is beat, the grid increases and random number of buildings and rules are assigned to the new level (which may be hard to balance) and have a timer running down. Every time a level is complete increase and game ends when timer runs out.

Good luck!
